Anyway guys I really really love the laptop (minus all the wifi hdd touchpad usb issues)
it is after all really powerful when playing games etc but its really crippled by those pesky things... imagine u raiding in WoW and ur wifi card fails etc or if you are uploading some big file and wifi fails...gahh!!

Yes, the wifi issue is what concerns me most as I only use wifi to connect on my laptop. And I do plan on playing some MMO from time to time...

Other issues are concerns but since I mostly use the laptop at home plugged in to power and ext keyboard+mouse+monitor, I guess they don't worry me as much, though they should not be issues in the first place for a new product.

I think I might just give a miss on getting a new laptop and just get a desktop at this rate... :p

Or you could get other brands if you still want a laptop desktop replacement.

Asus, MSI, etc..

I myself have not had much luck with Lenovo, my Y580 failing 3 times in a year.

Got the laptop swap at challenger today they were really helpful. After recovery of the system the card can connect to wifi n network after all. Will use the new lap top a few more days then update to see whether the wifi drops out issue is fixed as well. But some problems still exist e.g no Optimus, USB issues and the touchpad problems. Btw I swap due to backplate cracks when the previous agent tried to install the ram upgrade.
