Yeliu areas

Hi all,

Really need to seek your advice on this matter, for a day tour to yehliu areas with the following itinerary, is it possible or is it too tight and rushed. Was intending to visit all in one day then back to taipei, is it possible?

- Yehliu Geopark (野柳地質公園)
- Yehliu Ocean World (野柳海洋世界 )
- Jiufen old street (九份老街)
- Shifen Old Street (十分老街)
- Keelung Miaokou Night Market (基隆庙口夜市)
Please kindly advise as i m going there for the 1st time, and bring old folks, that why cannot afford to make errors and too packed.

Possible. Leave at 8am back ard 8-10pm latest. N how o are ur folks ?

I bring my parents (50plus) and my grandmother (70plus). I intend to cater transport, hoping can reach there faster rather than taking public transport. is it advisable?

With your grandmother going along, yes, booking a driver would be better..

for ur info... keelung nm is 24hrs open....

Just to find out further, if get driver, will it be alot faster than public transport?

Because i was thinking of leaving hotel around 10am, give my folks some time to rest and have proper breadfast, will it be very rush, too late to leave hotel?

Definitely faster..Not exactly near by bus from Yehliu to Jiufen..2hrs odd journey..Gonna take bus to Keelung station, change to another one for Jiufen..

I would prefer heading out at 9am..Gives u more time at each place and no need to rush..Rest earlier the night before..I tot old folks would wake up earlier than most of us??

if we go from jiufen to shifen, via taxi for 5 aduts and 2 kids, will it be easy to get those bigger capacity ones? and how much will be the taxi fare?

and how much from shifen to keelung by cab?

any one knows?


am travelling from xmd -jiufen-shifen-keelung.

any direct trains?

doing last minute planning...travelling in 3 days.....
