Went to the WP rally last night at Yishun Stadium. Lots of people but the WP candidates showed how incompetent they were by mishandling the microphone.

Sad scene. Waste of time. :(

Wat happen????

Not saying in case of trouble. I argued with him over what he said and it went downhill from there. :s22:

In my family, if someone had said what this candidate had said. The first thing out of another sibling's mouth would have been..."What are you? An idiot? That is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard!"

I was a bit more polite. :s13:

They did not know how to properly use the microphone. They were either speaking too close to it or they were shouting at it. So, it warps what you say and that stadium has terrible acoustics.

It gives the impression that it's a bunch of amateurs at public speaking and that they had never done a sound check.

Shan and LBW are probably be able to garner at least 60-65% from their own wards respectively, they are too popular with the older folks and middle aged. Both of them are very hardworking in their wards, LBW has been working hard with improving the estate and Shan has been on the ground numerous times despite holding two ministry portfolios. He is one of the few ministers that have been more active with town hall style meetings. Only those young ones are more inclined to vote against them. Faisal is 50:50, what I heard is he had not done much for his ward so the voters there probably have nothing to lose if they vote WP. As for the other two, they are new so they may lose to WP if the young and new voters in their wards vote for WP. But they will stk be supported by Shan and LBW majority. Lest we forget, the ground is actually sweeter now because PAP started to 'care for the people', and SG50 and LKY being repeated over and over again

Voting for someone competent?

Competent in which area then?

are you good in everything?

Have you not seen many highly ranked person in your company can't even figure out simple computer wiring before? But they are good in their area of work?

There may be a few AMDK or Indian in your company who can present very good, are they competent in their actual work?

First of all, if you are going into politics you should be at least competent at public speaking. That means, at the very least, you are prepared with your speech, you are able to properly enunciate your words and you do a sound check.

Second, I am actually pretty good at everything. :)

Would chiu vote for WP or LBW & her comrades? :(

Your vote is confidential.

Want to trick me into revealing my vote and violating basic Election rule? :s22: Wait long long ok? :D

But I got 2 golden words of advice: VOTE WISELY :D ;) :o

1. That is not competency issue but complacency issue.

2. That explained.. cant hold anymore water.
