I always get nasty comments for being a single BBFA at 40yo

Makes me feel ashamed of myself for not being married & have kids like most of my peers

But whenever I see stories like this - and the other 53yo guy with a sick child - it makes me feel very fortunate & blessed with my own life now

dont console yourself, why do you need pick the rare bad examples to make yourself feel better

there are many fathers who are happily married with pretty wives and loving children

in fact recent newspapers so many reports of bbfa old people pass away on their own in their miserable flats, no one even care until neighbours report police due to the horrible smell. living on your own with no family is not a blessing. it is a sign that you have failed in life

There is no one to help you financially and mentally and physically.
It is very tough and difficult.
