印度尼西亚能源部长巴赫里尔说，尽管印尼减少对新加坡的天然气供应，但目前供应量仍达到双方合同规定的最低水平。

路透社报道，巴赫里尔（Bahlil Lahadalia）星期一（10月26日）在记者会上回应新加坡总理黄循财星期天（25日）的言论时说：“我们的国家是一个尊重合同和规则的国家，所以不要教印尼如何履行合同。”

黄循财星期天在人民行动党干部大会说，天然气供应有商业合同保障，各方应履行承诺，印尼削减供应，本地进口商会采取必要步骤维护合法权益。

巴赫里尔上星期曾说，他将优先把天然资源用于满足国内需求，并检讨相关合同，以维护能源安全。

截至星期六（24日），印尼已将通过管道出口至新加坡的天然气每日供应量削减3100万标准立方英尺，以将天然气转供国内电力部门使用。

Indonesia has defended its gas export cuts amid concerns raised by Singapore, saying it would not be lectured on honouring contracts and that the reductions do not breach existing agreements.

Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia said on Oct 26 that Indonesia had reduced piped gas exports by 31 million standard cubic feet per day, or about 8 per cent of the 409.55 million supplied through pipelines from the Natuna Sea and mainland Sumatra.

“Do not lecture Indonesia about its commitment to honouring and respecting contracts,” he said, stressing that the cuts remained within the minimum limits allowed under existing agreements.

“The 31 million that we have reduced is still within the minimum contractual limits. If we had reduced supplies by 10 per cent, then we would have breached the contract.”

Bahlil said the reduction was due to maintenance-related shutdowns and domestic demand, adding that Indonesia remained committed to respecting contracts and regulations.

Asked whether the export reductions would be permanent, he did not give a definitive answer.

“I think the situation remains fluid,” he said.
