My razer blade recently just died. Horrible brand and quality. Had to fix it two times.
Anyway I'm looking at a Asus zephyrus g14 (2020) for 2198sgd local set.
Is it worth it considering its with older specs?

Hey, I am looking at the Zephyrus line too. Somewhat a popular series. Can you provide a link to the specific SKU so we can have an in-depth look at what you are considering?
Given the specifications you mentioned, here are my thoughts:
- RAM - 16 Gb is good enough for most people unless you are a professional whose workflow includes 3D rendering / heavy animation work. You might want to check the configuration as well, for future-proofing. Is it two sticks of 8Gb + 8Gb (one soldered onto motherboard + one on an upgradeable DIMM slot)? Or is it 1 stick of 16 Gb + one free DIMM slot? This is if you want the option of upgrading your RAM size in the future while avoiding asynchronous dual-channel RAM configurations
- Storage - 1 Tb -> this is SSD or HDD? Recommend to get the one with SSD. The performance difference is huge. If it's SSD, did you check, how many slots are available? Again, for future-proofing.
- Refresh Rate -> 120Hz is good enough. Higher refresh rates make no difference to the untrained eye anyway.
- Resolution -> Full HD is good enough. IMO QHD and 4K are not worth it for small laptop screens. Although, if I have the money to spend, I would definitely go for a laptop with a QHD display.
Did you also see the ErgoLift design of the chassis? It will literally dig into your thighs when you put the laptop on your lap, hence making it uncomfortable to use.
Finally, the most ridiculous design choice by ASUS -> Lack of a webcam. You are aware that the Zephyrus G14 doesn't have a webcam right? At a time where WFH is the norm, can you live with this? As of now, the only Zephyrus SKU with a webcam is the M16 -> which is not available in Singapore anyway.
