I think there is an issue with S3 and Note 2 killing SD cards.

In the past 4 months, it killed my 32gb and 64gb class 10 sandisk.

There's a lot of such cases reported on the net. Samsung is not admitting to this and my phone is not rooted.

There's so many cases on the net. Just google and you will see.

As for the reported cases here, look at these threads:

I have several other 32gb and 64gb cards bought at the same time from the same source. All are working perfectly in my BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Olympus OM-D. Even one consistently plugged into my Dell laptop and transferring data to my MacBook Air.

Only these 2 cards used on the Note 2 died out of the whole batch.

I just got my second 32gb sd card destroyed this morning, the first time it happened i thought it was the card. Now I'm convinced it's my s3. I got nothing except music files in there so it's not too bad, just extremely annoyed. Please back up your stuff!

My previous 32GB was busted too. But not the 16BG so far. I think S3 is not compatible for 32GB and above cards?

My old S3 killed my 32GB Sandisk which had been used for my previous 3 phones before and no problem at all on these 3 phones...

Its not s3 killing sd card, is purely just luck or maybe the sd card is not compatible with recently smart phone.

Same here, no issues with 16Gb. Maybe it is a SanDisk batch problem as reported?

32GB died on me too. Sandisk.

It say SD card corrupted.

What worst is that it drain battery as the media runs in battery.
