defensively he is quite sound. it is his contributions to the offense that needs to brushed up.

plus the fact that both toure and turtle had a off-day in the office.. maybe that makes cissokho an outstanding performer on this day?

I think the latter. Toure and Skrtel left their best boots in Anfield so it made Cissokho looked good.

anyway just saw the goals highlight

the cross which led to the first OG by toure was actually a very simple ball to clear. defenders just need to whack it upfield.
so its either he was really unlucky or Toure just misstep, slip and then OG.

2nd goal by Fulham can't say much. it was a defensive error.

from BR's post-match interview, can kinda tell from his body language that he was relieved we got the 3 pts. so i'm sure BR and his team will have alot to say to our players after they analysed this match.

dug deep against a relegation fighting team and got 3 points.

next up. FA CUP against Arsenal!!! BRING THEM ON!!! :s12:

I would rather we rest certain players in danger of burnout eg. Sterling and/or maybe Suarez. Can slot Joe Allen and maybe let Glen and Agger have a run out too. It will do good to the first 11 if they are recharged for the next league match. Who knows this team may spring a surprise on the Gunners?

Alot of people in TIA are praising Cissokho as the best defender today. How's he been for you guys?

I only caught the second half and my most vivid memory of him was when he accidentally left the ball behind when trying to push it up :s22:

Didn't do much wrong and got forward abit but offer nothing much! Fulham RW hardly got forward on his side. His passing been quite good tot. Flanagan was the one struggled as Fulham launched most of their attacks down on his side. Got beaten a couple of times by LW Richardson pace. Lucky got cover from our midfield.

agree.

Maybe this line-up?

Mignolet
Flanna-Agger-Skrtel-Glenn
Hendie-Allen-Gerrard
Alberto-Sturridge-Suarez

Suarez is a fighter. And he has shown us his near superman endurance over the past two years. perfect example: 48 hrs ago played for national team, owner fly him back on private jet, play for Liverpool, won.

but of course, there's always a risk of injury. but with 3 days to rest, i am suarez and sturridge is up for Arsenal again :D

A recap on the top 9 League Table after 26 rounds:
Chelsea - 57
Arsenal - 56
Man city - 54 (one game less)
Liverpool - 53
Spurs - 50 (FINALLY GD is +4!!!!!)
Everton - 45 (one game less)
Manure - 42
Southampton - 39
Newcastle - 37

if manciteh wins their game 26, they will go top on superior GD.
next league game is home to Swansea. Definitely a tough game. if we win this, we will be on 56, level with arsenal, and keep our distance from spurs, blues and old toilet.

No more easy games. Every one is vital as there little points difference from to to bottom of the league. Must work very hard just to keep in place let alone move up the table.

if only we didn't drop silly points against southhampton.. hull.. wba.. we will be tops with a few points clear.. if only..

still.. i know it is a bit optimistic.. but if we against all the big guns.. we actually really have a chance to nip it. our GD only mancity is better than us.

indeed. u can count the villa game at anfield as well.
we've dropped some silly points. but stil in with a chance cos
the top3 have also dropped silly points quite frequently this season.

now we need to take every game as a cup final then finish the season strongly. it's gonna take alot of mental strength as well as physical strength
to push through. but im really impressed with the team's mental strength this season. the teams of the past few seasons would have buckled under the pressure and probably lose in really difficult games like at goodison/villa at anfield/last nights game against fulham/stoke home and away/liberty stadium/st james park. we've shown character to win or fight back to draw.

the few games that infuriates are hull (totally underestimated them), arsenal (never look like challenging them) southampton (silly lost at home) Wba(schoolboy error dropped us 2 precious points)

the team is starting to look more like the liverpool we all familiar with. winning difficult games against big rivals, coming from behind to win, and despite our defeats at the emirates/etihad and stamford bridge. we gave the hosts a really tough game (where we could have won) at etihad and stamford bridge, with an injury depleted squad during the hectic christmas/newyr fixtures. one thing i hope we can improve on is consistency, just like many of us predicted, fulham is a much more difficult game than arsenal, we're mentally tough enough to come back and win at the death. this also does alot of boost for the players' confidence.

bring on arsenal again, win or lose, the important thing for me is not to drag into a replay and to come away with no injuries. tough fixtures await in the league, hope all our players are healthy, fit and raring to go :D

exciting times ahead. the race is tight and the race is on :D

i see now u also can 'fortune-tell', that ars wont win their next home lge game, vs sun a day before us.:D
my idea for the fa cup game this sunday is to use as many squad players as possible.
we can do without going further in the cup, just make sure we pay our full attention on climbing the lge table, having been coming this far.

definitely. 6 BPL meetings so far.
1 W. 3 D. 2 L

our stats against Swansea is actually very bad. we only won one time and that was a 5-0 thrashing against Swansea Team B :(

The previous game was a "Shelvey Show". so BR will really wanna show the fans how much we have evolved against Swansea.

probably the same tactics against Everton and Arsenal. super tight marking and relentless pressing.

17 Feb - FA Cup Fifth Round
Arsenal vs Liverpool

20 Feb - Champions League Round of 16
Arsenal vs Bayern Munich

22 Feb - Premier League
Arsenal vs Sunderland

2 back-to-back big games, followed by a potential banana slip...doesn't hurt to do a bit of fortune telling right? :D hopefully Borini will help us by stabbing his knife into Arsenal and make them bleed :s13:

well... i have a feeling that AW may keep his best players for BM, so if BR fill the strongest mix of Team A + Team B, we may go through to FA Cup Quarter finals.

Teixeira had a good little debut. He came on for sterling and played his part in getting the ball to Sturridge that led to the penalty. Getting into good positions and had a decent shots. What impressed me was he didnt appeared nervous at all and passing well.
