*cut in for a moment*, what is your age right now? Or age range.

Oh i thought Sync III is more advance than progressive lens offering more comfort...lol.
Im looking for progressive as for near reading my vision blur already as age is catching up.

Hello,

I'm looking to purchase a new set of prescription glasses.
However, I'm trying to avoid having the tinted yellow effect (I believe the term used in this thread is "blue light reflect")

I've did some research and it seems like

Crizal is offering such lenses ("blue light absorb")
https://www.essilor.com.sg/products/crizal-blue-uv-capture

May I know if there are other brands that offer a similar feature?

Shamir blue zero.

For essilor, you are right. It’s their blue capture lenses.

Need some advice on the pricing.
regarding the Hoya progressive lens promotion.

One shop qoute me $1070 for Lifestyle V+ progressive len (after the free upgrade) ; 1.67 index.
Is this standard market price?

My degree is 600 per side, desk bound job

If it’s gonna be your first pair, probably get a lens that is more above average.
Towards that age range, I will assume your presbyopia would be around +1.75 thus a basic lens might cause you to feel uncomfortable with the peripheral distortion.

Im in my late 40s.

Any particular reasons you prefer those models? Iirc they are quite heavy. Limit switch is a good choice or even lizard.
Their Temples feel more comfortable for you?

Thanks. I've asked a shop in de east. 400+ for Fuller and almost 600 for Cartridge.

Any particular series you looking at? Old series/models might go for 700 plus or even high 6. New models generally 800-830.
Whichever looks good basically. I heard Lindberg is having a trunk show this mth so going to have a look. Btw is it true from rimless only Zeiss lens can be used for Lindberg?

Not true. Most Brands can use, most reliable so far are still zeiss, hoya and essilor. Their labs are trained specially by Lindberg to do their rimless.
Lindberg rimless are not those traditional frames with washers to hold the lenses.
Thus unless the shop has the specific Lindberg rimless drill machine or else.. use those 3 Brands where they are able to do up the frame.

Hi Gangsterkia,

No apparent reason actually. Just like the look especially cartridge. Ok I'll pay attention to those 2 you mentioned.

Thank you so much

Hi Kitsura, if convenient, can share or PM me the information on the trunk show? Is it by Eyecare People? Thanks.

Cartridge and fuller temple/legs are thicker so might give a slightly more hugging/weight to the frame which some individual like. Though my turnoff factor are their weight.
