TraceTogether Token does not have a scanner function

Think from the logic it doesn't track by location but by people.

Think the logic is when there is a cluster at certain location, from the safe entry they will know who are there. But many places so big, not everyone in the same place would be exposed to the infected.

Thus think the token then comes in handy to further narrow down on those who are in close proximity with the infected at the location, as think the token only detect and record those other tokens who are within certain close distance of each other.

Maybe they should have bothered explain it more clearly why they do certain things. Then many people won't be so blur and wonder why this and that. Its ironic they say they got listen to people but think their actions often seems to say otherwise. Often they seems still stuck in the past with the top down approach, seems tend take it for granted that whatever they say people should understand and do, no need much questions.

You speak a lot of sense.
Let's say an infected person goes to gardens by the bay.. are you going 5o test everyone that was at gardens by the bay in that afternoon? Doesn't make sense. But if people had their trace together working. Then they can zoom in on those specific individuals that the infected person had proximity to..

both ideas worked well independently. Until someone up them had a brilliant idea of combining them to become another idea.

so the question is... why this brilliant guy never thought of having just one app in the first place?

The token or Trace Together app check in is to ensure you are using it when going into gazetted areas.

What the token or app does is to narrow down the likely suspects considerably. For example, an infected person is walking in Giant and he might never cross paths with me. So the token or app wont flag me as a suspect. (As opposed to SafeEntry who place me at the same place and same time)

Besides, alot of people dont check out of SafeEntry when leaving so the data would be wrong already.



What is kinda funny is that they are making extra measures when our infection rate is too low. They should be opening everything back to normal

extra measures so dat sinkieland can enter phase 3 faster

with phase 3 there will be bigger group gatherings, more foreigners coming in etc.

so risk of having a super-spreader event or cluster infections remains

dats why require all these measures to help prevent 4th/5th/6th wave from occurring
