If you sign 1Gbps $39 u get AC56S for $5 per month but for 200Mbps u get N56U for $5 per month. If 200Mbps want to get AC56S or AC68U must top up $ upfront. Hope you are clear now.

Thanks for the clarification Henry.

Yeah.
Just signed up at Clementi M1.
Top up $5/mth +$120 upfront and they gave me the AC68U. Buying it outright is $259 which is $19 more ex. Plus you are paying partly by instalments and paying in future so works out even better. Plus they gave me the router straight away so even though my fiber isn't ready yet, I can start using the AC router to replace my old crap 7 year old N router. Looking to see better performance already when I start using it tonight!!

Home Fixed line activation fee waived. Mobile Broadband SIM card was given free too. But no mobile broadband device provided so I will only be able to use it if I buy a mobile wifi device or use it with a dual SIM smartphone.

Plus I confirmed that there is no termination fee for the fiber after the 24mth contract.
All in all, I think the deal was quite alright.

Nice lah. Now once they install, please let me know your user experience since I advised you into it.

Are m1 receptive to peering feedbacks?

Just submitted a feedback about traffic towards europe (France OVH servers) taking the most latency-costly route via US (300ms), where some other IPs in france get routed via india (160ms)

Wait and see la.
They can take in feedback but this is a hard one because such peering arrangement is not the duty of cso. They have their own peering partners and they may have contract with them so it is hard for them to change their partners. Heard that most people is connecting to Asia and US servers. Little people connecting to Europe so it is hard.

LOL. Forget about it! Any of the big 3 isp if they claim they are working on your feedback they're ********ting u.

Even myrepublic. They keep talking about optimising for gamers, but people keep complaining lag.

Only viewqwest really optimises and u can see their user feedback on the thread that latency gets better due to constant improvements in peering.

M1 cso will probably just ask u restart router LOL

Peering partners got sign contract so it is not easy to change. If many people make noise and contract ending then may be possible.

Haha okay. I don't really understand how this peering works, so i just submitted feedback. My understanding was since they already have a peer at India for some of their european traffic, all it takes is to reroute the other european traffic towards that peer as well.

Think i will just stay subscribed to my VPN for now.

I guess it will take at least 2 months or longer.

Hi folks, just sign up for the 200 mbps Fibre broadband. Gt a few qns nid to clarify. (Jump ship from Singtel)

1.The cso say nid to terminate my current singtel plan, ask them to retain my current home line number before they can do the porting. They say if do porting now, sure will reject as my current singtel plan still in service. True?

2. The included mobile broadband of 1gb data can be use immediately or nid wait till my contract is activated officially next month? Cos i tried the sim card they provide, no have network wor.

For the router at additional $5/mth, the model I got was a asus rt ac56s. No additional top up required (which I am aware of, less the secretly bill me for that) Which I thought nid add top up extra from the previous posts then can get ac56s, if not will get the default n56u router.

1.Wrong info from CSO. To port fixed home line over from ST, the Singtel homeline cannot be still be under contract and MUST BE ACTIVE! DO NOT TERMINATE it !

2.The 1GB mobile broadband is already activated and contract started on the day you gotten the SIM card. Call 1627 to ask why can't work on your phone.
The Fibre Broadband contract start on the date of installation. So you have 2 dates to remember!

For IT show 2016, you get AC56S for both 200M/1G plan when you pay additional $5/mth.

For further question, better call 1627 to clarify !

M1 has improved the offer for this show so you are getting AC56S. It is cheap and good. With AC adapter in your notebook you should be able to get quite near your full speed. M1 router is cheaper than outside.

I think they just upgraded their offer during the IT show period. Yes you get the AC56S.

Singtel line I dunno if you need to cancel but the M1 person I spoke to said you need to keep your line first. Else if they cancelled already, your line will be gone and they can't port over.

1GB mobile broadband data cannot use yet. Your services will only be up after they install your broadband. Your contract technically starts only then.
