I think what WTFast refers to is the free trial for premium service. WTFast premium service will downgrade to single device plan once the trial ended, and that the ac88u will continue to provide service for that particular client configured to optimise..

It's kind of depressing to see so many 4x4 wireless ac routers available but 0 4x4 wireless ac client in the market.

Anyone upgraded from the Rt-N66u to this ac88u? How is the wifi range and speed compared to your RT-N66U? Able to share your views as I was hesitating to make the move due to the cost. Thanks!

Using M1 1Gbps with the Asus AC 88.
Speedtest for xperia z5p= 100mbps,
note 3= 150mbps & apple 6=50mbps.

Test at ont 700mbps plus. What's wrong here?

Set your 5 ghz bandwidth to 80 mhz and channel to 48 or lower.

Why you set your channel 48?

Usually the higher channels can more easily susceptible to interference. Sometime lowering channels can see if this is case i.e. speed increase. 48 is roughly in the middle...good place to start.

You can actually just use an old free copy of inssider to look around to see what channels your neighbours are using, or the built in wifi scanner on the router.

That said, lower channels have a slight advantage in terms of range due to the longer wavelength.

Hi guys,

I tried using lower frequency (anything below 149) but the transmission rate is always lower....
The sweet spot channel for me is always 149

Just sharing

Hi Guys, I would like to ask a question. It's possible if I set up my home network like that? Will my internet be affected?

ONT > Switch

Switch > RT88U > (Port 4) Mio Tv

Switch > RT87U > (Port 4) Mio TV
