P9 has no OIS

P9 has no OIS
More importantly
there is no mention of RAW Format support
to people who enjoy photographers & use photoshop & lightroom, this is really a deal breaker

also there is no mention of DAC & AMP
Audiophile & media fanboys look else where

ps; the above information is what I read from major tech website, so if my information is wrong, kindly inform me...

Although there's no optical stabilization included, Huawei reps in London today insisted its new camera setup doesn't need it. That's because both sensors feature 1.25-micron pixels, and due to its unique monochrome-only sensor, it's claimed, it can suck in more light than the equivalent regular smartphone camera. The P9's camera system can produce 200% brighter images with a 50% improvement in contrast, it's claimed, bringing it up to an equivalent pixel size of 1.76-microns. (By comparison Samsung's Galaxy S7 features 1.4-micron pixels, and Huawei's own Nexus 6P uses a sensor with 1.55-micron pixels.)

Give it time for people to do hands on review.. Slowly all the specs will be out.. RAW can be a software update for sure and I do not see why they dont support it since the marketing for this phone is all about the camera..
I'd expect full manual support, RAW from this phone

before anybody dismisses the P9 Plus, take a look at the difference between the 2.

4SsXkaH.jpg

not dismissing it, p9plus is definitely the better phone. But 200 difference can be a little too big.

Yup i also want to know more about the DAC/AMP used in this chipset.. i know the Kirin 950 is using Tensilica Hi-Fi 4 DSP, Kirin 955 maybe will follow??

As for the Raw format support i think it probably will have bah.. not sure though.. anyway if i want to use the Leica preset in the phone then i probably wont want to need the raw..

955 shouldn't be much different from 950, so DAC will most likely be the same.

Current phones only can use 4G/2G for dual sim. It will be good if can support 4G/3G
But what's the use? Under normal dual SIM mode, you just select the primary SIM for voice and data and the other SIM is in 2G mode for receiving calls. 3G for secondary SIM means you want data, but if you enable 3G for secondary SIM you have a danger that the secondary SIM suck data also. When you suck data while roaming in Japan and secondary SIM is Singtel, then you will get carrot by Singtel right?

So I don't understand this.

The RAW format support is included, according to GSMarena. http://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_p9_and_p9_plus_hands_on-review-1421p2.php
"The Huawei camera app offers manual mode, which offers RAW shooting, manual focus, shutter speed and ISO and a few other options."

Seems that the monochrome camera ITSELF also offer RAW.
http://www.engadget.com/2016/04/06/huawei-p9/
"you can take raw black-and-white images, which should look a lot more detailed and natural compared with a filtered photo. "

BBC also confirm RAW.
http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-35979532
"the files can be exported in the RAW file format for editing on a PC."

I speculate (and it is written somewhere on the net) that the RAW format also include distance information for post-shot image refocusing.

It is indeed a rough estimate, estimating on the very high. I don't have complete pricing information yet.

DAC - while we all don't have confirmed information yet, the Tensilica Hi-Fi 4 has been staple implementation on the Mate 8, and the HI6402 on the previous P8. However looking at the good audiophile acceptance of the audio on both the P8 and Mate 8, both should be fine.
