How abt Deevana Plaza Krabi? seems like not too bad for location, price and reviews. any nice food and massage place to intro?

You have to rent a scooter to get out and go places. This hotel is located between Ao Nang and Nopparat, but deep inside. Although you get the quietness and peace, but it is a hassle to get out.

Once you are out to the main road, you are in luck because there are some good eats and cafes around the places. One of my favorite massage shop is somewhere here too.

To your right, you have May&Zinc in holiday inn plaza and thai street food along Nopparat Beach. To your left, you have Muslim street food and Ao Nang beachfront. To your left and right, you have many cafes/pub dotted along the road.

For massage, go to Corner Massage and Let's Sea : Let's Relax.

Are there any activities you guys would suggest other than water-related in Krabi?

Planning a 5D4N trip for family including an elderly grandma and 2-year kid so looking for a location that's chillax, accessible, nice scenery and food.

Will Krabi do or any other better place to recommend? Thanks

Ehh..there are the waterproof bags that come in various sizes, singlets with singha beer/starbucks logo etc(150baht), polarized sunglasses that cost 299baht only(got myself one! Some 711 sells them, there is a special photo on the rack you can use to check if its polarize), straw hats(170baht), jungle hats(200baht), bowls made from coconuts, bikini(200baht),thai design pyjamas (170baht), quite nice paintings at krabi town night market.

Just rmb to check around the prices.im not that gd at bargaining so you might be able to do better than the prices i quoted above lol. Btw those shops nearer to aonang beach are more expensive i noticed.
In Bangkok, Singlets B100, Sunglasses as low as B40. Try to bargain more in krabi.

Sent from the rock using GAGT

For your criteria, try Nopparat area or on Railey Island. And if you really want to have a private beach, Centara Grand is the one. :s12:

You can explore Krabi town too on the way to tiger cave.

I went during CNY and there are lots of ang moh and tiongs also...Met some koreans and japanese as well. Good thing about being a Singaporean is, we always have something about their country to communicate with everyone from all parts of the world.

Phuket is overrun by tiongs, russians and indians now..and so is pattaya. Commercializing Thailand, one Island at a time.

Bro, thanks for advising. But I saw that the massage place you mentioned is closed in trip advisor. Is that true for anyone who went there recently?

Hi thanks for pointing this out. The massage place 'Let's Sea : Let's Relax' apparently have 2 names. The other name is 'Attarak'. During my trip, they sort of still using both names. I believed now they have officially ceased using 'Let's Sea : Let's Relax'.

The location should be still at the same place.

Weather

Anyone juz came back from krabi? Hows the weather there? coz i saw the forecast is rainy and it has been raining for the past few days right?

Aside to transport, is it better to rent motorbike or use tuk tuk to get around?

thanks

At Sofitel Krabi now.

Weather is quite bad, dont book this ultra luxury hotel as renovation for pool is going on. wasted never check.

if you want to book tour choose early morning as the rain start after lunch time.

also choose those 4 motor charter boat then the longtail boat for now as the wave might not suit the later

Have you book the cliff resort? major renovation going on there, if you book already then plan to leave the hotel by 7 if not the noise will kill you.

2 days nothing much ,now rain season so have alternative plan

Atv ride in rain is so much fun, my old bones almost going to crack.
