Hi all

Its gonna be my first time traveling light - just hand carry without check in luggage.

What is the best way of packing the necessary toiletries like shampoo, shower cream toothpaste etc?

1) shampoo and shower cream can get those travel size right? No need to repack in transparent bottle?

2) how about toothpaste?

3) or is it a better way like buying them after custom clearance at the airport?

Now i appreciate last time travel with check in luggage. Everything just dump inside. Lol. This time gonna travel light so need to plan ahead

As long as the container is not above 100ml can bring on carry on luggage. Remember it's not e amount of fluid but e volume of each container

Buy travel size if possible. Make sure they're in ziploc bags and padded by soft materials like clothes so that they wont break from any hard impact

Impact wise i wont worry too much cos I'll be carrying in a backpack.

So if i get a travel size Colgate that's 100ml it will be ok?

1) LAGs must be in containers with a maximum capacity not more than 100ml each. LAGs in containers larger than 100ml will not be accepted, even if the containers are partially-filled.

2) Place the containers (not exceeding 1-litre in total) in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag which must be completely closed.

3) Only one transparent re-sealable plastic bag per passenger is allowed. The bag must be presented separately for examination at the security screening point.

4) All LAGs that do not meet the above requirements must be disposed of before the security screening point.

5) Exemptions can be made for baby food provided that an infant is travelling with you. Exemptions can also be made for special dietary items and medication accompanied with an original letter from certified medical practitioners. These items may be subjected to additional checks at the security screening point.

just go guardian/daiso/etc etc, buy travel bottles of shampoo + soap + toothpaste can liao.
if die die can only use specific brands, go buy those small empty bottles at daiso and fill up.
max 10 bottles X 100ml.
recommend pack into ziplock bag (although i always dont use ziplock bag but use big pouch instead. no issues so far), put into a part of ur carry on bag thats easy to take out during bag checks:s12:
