Looking at Microsoft Band (2) actually, Fitbit Surge and Garmin offerings like not very sui design wise...

Then again msoft band not available locally prolly have to get from amazon + dg65

Moto 360 Sport GPS reviews mention GPS on device not very zhun.. Sony Smartwatch 3 no heart monitoring (which doesn't really matter to me) but I don't really like the design hmm

I think all bands/watches can interact with phone just that some watches/bands is an 'accessory' to the phone and die die require phone for you to 'use' the accessory like the xiaomi band

Most smartwatches that runs android wear and has a build in memory allows you to install certain apps inside the smartwatch. You can run it without the phone or some would require a connection bluetooth or some simply just a shortcut to allow you to access it via the watch and open it in phone.

What i really like about smartwatches is the ability to read and reply text or whatsapp. The gear s2 takes it a notch up allowing to type with a t9 keyboard. Although google voice somehow rox and can accept our english standards.

Another thing that is good about is the contacts in smartwatch. It allows you to select to make calls on the contact. If you pair a bluetooth headset, this feature is awesome when driving. You could establish a call using the watch and let the phone call out for you.

Another thing i like is the gps in build. Good for short walk navigations or when driving you can see the small navigation panels to guide you.

Im eyeing on the Gear S2 classic or the motorola 360 46mm variant or the Huawei with leather strap.
