Thank you! :) I graduated from TP's Communications and Media Management with a GPA of 3.53 and O's L1R4 9 points with a B3 for English. I know it's a painful wait with a lot of anxiety, I've been there and done that as it's my second year of applying to the universities! I tried applying to WKWSCI last year and of course, I failed miserably with my GPA!

And .. How did you prepare for your interview ? :)

Wow, looks like the cut off for JC fell by quite a bit! Must be due to the decrease in poly spaces. Poly IGP gonna shoot up lol

I know how you feel. My GPA's 3.54, and I applied to ADM this year (2nd try). I worked really hard on my portfolio this year (a couple of months) and the wait is really killing me.

That said, anyone else here applied for NTU ADM?

lol yup i think they're giving priority to jc students now.. a friend of mine had a GPA of 3.83 but she didn't manage to secure a placing in both NTU biz and accountancy. (10th percentile was 3.78ish i think?)


as mentioned in a straits time article a couple of years ago, SG government is trying to encourage poly grads to start working instead of furthering studies.

'PM Lee, who addressed polytechnic students recently, told them that getting a degree was not the only option.

He encouraged them to work for a few years or start their own business. "You will gain experience and understand yourself better and then be better able to decide what the next step will be," he said at Ngee Ann Polytechnic's 50th-anniversary celebrations.

A day later, National Development Minister Khaw Boon Wan had similar advice.'

Yup, noticed that since 2013 the poly IGP has increased steadily. The opposite is true for JC IGP. Those who wish to enter local universities will have to try for SIT and UniSIM.

Hi. Want to know any JC students got called up for NTU English already? I applied as first choice with only 70rp. I know not much hope but still hoping. Anyone thinks I still got chance?

I got called up for english interview with 70rp last year as second choice. That being said, gp grade is really important. U probably have to wait till end of april to be shortlisted.
