Hi, does anyone have experience with booking goshiwon/goshitel/livingtel directly from their websites? (Not from any agent!)

Can you book in advance (like 2 months before your check-in date)?
Or you can only book a room when you are personally there?

If anyone have experience in booking directly, can share please? :)

Thanks!

Why do you want to book goshiwon? Goshiwons are very small units and are typically for students to rent for long term use. They usually reject you if you're asking way in advance because they cannot reserve the unit for you and even if there's available units now, they may not be available 2 months later.

Let me know when are you going to Korea, budget, length of stay and preferred location maybe I can recommend you something that suits you.

I'll be in Korea for the month of July. Attending Hanyang International Summer School there. Goshiwons are cheaper and they are usually nearby the schools. Haha.

I see. In that case, I'd recommend that you come earlier to secure your accommodation. I've heard of Goshiwon owners not honoring reservations and just give it away to walk-ins because they offered to pay in cash on the spot.

Hey I applied for a Goshiwon recently using this platform called Flying Chalks (google it!)

it's for people on exchange and apprently itt offers free service to students looking for accommodation!

My friends and i applied together since we were going to SNU and they have found a convenient place for us just 5 mins away from SNU!! :)

It's not an agent, and they reply really quickly so it's quite helpful.
