I want to wait also, but wondering if appealing later will result in the slots being filled up already ): I know eee is my best shot for appeal but I'm having very mixed feelings about all my choices because of the dilemma between career prospects and ability to score well...if someone asks me which course I am hoping for now I won't know how to answer. Can NTU please just hurry up because it's bloody painful.

Tbh, i personally feel that engineering courses will definitely benefit u if ur gonna be an engineer (in terms of job opportunity and de benefits).. and if u really dl de course u cn actually switch course after 1 yr (i think, provided if u do well in the current course) so yeap :) Gotta tk advantage to whatever resources left for me now :)

But SIT and SUTD is not even easier to get into than the unpopular ntu engineering courses, especially for JC students in the case of SIT :(
I agree with u. SUTD courses are really good & prestigious & can land u good jobs in the US. But it's very physics, engineering & design. Their requirements are also hard to hit so it doesn't make sense to me but this is what we were told of.
For SIT, it's just for poly students so JC students are a much do or die thing.
But the grp of ppl suffering the most is PR & foreigners this year coz the ratio was altered to ensure SC are not that badly affected. It's just that last year's indicators are no longer that relevant when u factor this

Anyone ever heard of people receiving an offer or interview after submitting an appeal even before the appeal period ends? or would all appeals only be considered after the appeal period ends? Dk whether submitting an appeal early would be an advantage or not since I'm still waiting for another uni's offer..

I think for your case if i were you i will just wait, then if 1 day before appeal period closes still no reply from the uni then I will appeal

Yea already got my offer from nus and ntu

Have you accepted your offer to NTU before appealing? I heard that by appealing to another course you might lose your place in the course that was offered to you. Unless you intend to go for the course offered by NUS if your appeal with NTU fails

Nope ive not accepted any course from either of the 2 unis yet. Even so, I will choose the nus one over the ntu one so I don't think it matters haha.

Totally agree, they say they need student but yet they are so picky abt the canidates that are actually willing to go to their sch... (i got rejected with no interview at all)

Yes i second that. SUTD requirements are almost on par with NUS/NTU... if they reduce intake just because of those 2 new schools, JC students are the ones to suffer, especially those from the art stream :(

If you don't like the course, there's a high chance that you won't do well :s22:
