DBS,

Pls advise if we will get the full discount and additional 6% rebate if we use POSB Everyday card at SPC using Apple Pay.

I didn't check with DBS, but what i heard is using Apple Pay is no difference from using pay wave. So all the perks of using POSB CC still apply.
Anyway I am going to try this week to confirm.

Suppose I pump $80 of petrol at Esso. Normally, upon presenting the DBS Esso MC, the amount payable is the discounted figure and is known to me. With ApplePay, what would the process flow be like?

In case anyone is using POSB Everyday Card at SPC for petrol purchase via contactless payment, do let the SPC cashier know that you are using the POSB Everyday Card through Apple Pay, that will be for the 15% SPC onsite discount, the 6% POSB Everyday Card rebate will be awarded accordingly.

For Apple Pay transactions with POSB Everyday Card at Watsons , Sheng Shiong, etc, the usual rebates will apply. :)

Can pay taxi fare with Apple Pay
Why would you still want to go to ATM if you everything also want to tap tap tap

No link lei, ATM withdraw is withdraw cash as we all know. ATM Debit card to withdraw from ATM machine via phone, no need to bring any physical ATM card out. Everything use a phone and what randomly bring in taxi. Lol

You know what is use phone for ATM withdraw using ATM machine or not, cannot read properly is it. Go Google: ATM withdraw using Samsung Pay. I did say in future, hope we can achieve the high level of cashless.

Yes you will! All the current discounts and rebates still applies. Although do let the SPC cashier know you are using POSB Everyday Card, Apple Pay is still pretty new.

Is there a specific method to position my phone on the merhant's reader? Like which part of the phone is the nfc chip located? I needed to like keep on shifting my phone up and down and left and right and unlock my phone before the transaction is successful. Aiyo, lucky no other customers behind me. Haha. Tried at 2 different places already

Hi POSB, just to confirm that the 20% rebate is capped at $10 per customer? I.e. Once i have made my first $50 Apple Pay transaction, i will not be entitled to anymore subsequent rebates?

Yes WestGuy, your understanding about the promo is correct.

Just position the top of the phone towards the reader. The NFC chip is located on top of the iPhone.

I often just put the top of my phone over the terminal.

Maybe for sg, put the head of the phone nearer to the contactless logo?

Tried using Apple Pay with my OCBC360 at NTUC just now.
The Paywave machines prompts with "error" message.

Anyone encounter the same thing?

My phone is already literally resting on their machine.

Hi wits0007,

Were you able to transact successfully?

Most of the time, errors during transactions are encountered if one attempts to send the information/transact at the terminal before it is ready.

Hi sengkangboy,

Earning Linkpoints via Apple Pay is currently not available. Please use your physical card to earn and redeem LinkPoints.

Wasn't there an article that said NTUC linkpoints can be earned?

"First, there is the sheer convenience. I found I could still use the NTUC Plus! reward card to collect loyalty points at FairPrice supermarkets while paying with Apple Pay."

http://www.straitstimes.com/tech/apple-pay-is-the-way-to-pay-if-youre-an-iphone-user

Or are the linkpoints collected in the bill?
