Just one concern with regards to Apple Pay with Apple Watch. Apple Pay on iPhone is certainly secure enough as it is via fingerprint authentication, in addition, you can also set a multiple alphanumeric passcode on the iPhone so when the phone is lost, it is unlikely that Apple Pay would be misused.

However, the Apple Watch is only secured by a 4 pin passcode, so chances of it being 'Hacked' into to use Apple Pay is much higher if you happen to lose your watch.

If I'm not wrong, the Apple Watch still needs your phone for the transaction to be successful.

It needs your phone nearby to work.

Just tried a transaction at guardian. Was surprised at how fast the transaction took, even faster than nets and even cash.

You can also set longer passcodes on Apple Watch (my firm's IT policy mandates the Watch password length), and it'll automatically lock when taken off the wrist. You can also set it to erase if there are 10 incorrect attempts.

Whilst you're always protected by your credit card issuer against fraud on contactless payments, if you're genuinely concerned, then don't put the card on your watch. Each device is independent and they do not need to be near each other to work.

That's why most cards have a $100 limit. Anyway keying in 4 pin combinations on that tiny screen is quite troublesome too, easier just to sell the watch than trying to hack your card for use hahaha

You don't have your watch set to automatically unlock when you unlock your phone and are wearing it?
nope, cause sometimes my phone is i-don't-know-at-where, and i don't see why i should lock my watch yet. :o :s13:

i just recently started locking my phone since the launch of ApplePay, otherwise, i think i'm too lazy to do pins. :o

Tried using Apple Pay with my OCBC360 at NTUC just now.
The Paywave machines prompts with "error" message.

Anyone encounter the same thing?

My phone is already literally resting on their machine.

How do you find out the cap of your transaction limit?

$100 is a safe number but if certain places do require a need for a higher limit, how can I change it?

Hi memoriess,

If you use a DBS/POSB card with Apple Pay, you'll get 20% rebate on your spend, which will be capped at $10. The rebate will be credited into your card account 60 days after the end of the promotion period.

Our promo T&Cs are here - http://www.dbs.com.sg/iwov-resource...ith-ease/apple-pay/cashback_apple_pay_tnc.pdf

Just read the TnC. Total rebate that could be earned during the promo period is...... $10? That's pretty low compared to Stan Chart's cap of $50....

What is the minimum iOS version to add credit cards to ApplePay (via Passbook)?

Mine is 8.4 and I get the following error when adding a card:
"Software update required to add this card"
