Depends on how big is the position. Married or crossing at market will alert the market and move price. So there's a reason pple want to do it.

Crossing can be done off the market too, but commission is high with min comm, not suitable for scb clients.. scb clients is better off the buy and sell in the market or just set up joint cdp and go through the motion

Married deals for SGX are off market but it needs to be reported and the market will know. Transfer on cdp is invisible to market unless it's changes to major shares holder. At least that is my understanding of this.

Crossing off the market is done by a broker, and therefore cdp and sgx will be involved too. i always do it 1-2 times per year for my clients.. relax.. the handling fee is $200 already

Oh. So you are broker. Then your version shld be correct.

hello guys, reading through the replies, if i were to move my shares in SC to CDP, i will just need to have a CDP account, and pay a fee to move them over?

yes. 10.70 per counter. go down to scb fill out some forms and wait for a few weeks.

They have same ISIN code, so you can do that on retail brokerages, but not sure if can do it on scb. Call and ask?
