Good to recontract with them or jump ship ?
Any recommendations ?![]()
I am also due for re-contract.
My contract expires a couple of weeks b4 Sep's PCshow or Comex
Tbh, the re-contract offers from MR now are not so attractive (1 month free subscription & free router installation).
There is no guarantee that MR will get the 4th telecom bid for the 1 year unlimited data sim as well.
But as I have not really experienced any issues with MR, am considering whether to save the hassle & just recontact with MR.
Chief also in the same boat
300mb plan for 39.90 a month
M1 offering same speed for 29.90.. Wonder if should jump.. Chief is heavy downloader
My contract is due next month and I was in the same predicament a few weeks back. Was considering whether to stay or jump over to VQ. I don't have big issues with MR since sticking with them since they started but recently the connection had been extremely slow during the daily evening peak slots. VQ had a promo and I seriously considered jumping ship...
After getting feedback from both sides, and seeing VQ has been having lots of unscheduled downtimes lately, I recontracted with MR. Their 1 mth free with 6 mths at 50% off promo is very attractive. Since both providers have their own sets of problems, might as well go with the cheaper option... And after the last maintenance, the peak period slowdown seems to have improved a bit.

You did not consider M1 1Gbps?
Yah, I was actually thinking of getting their 1 mth free with 6 mths at 50% off promo & getting the Asus-AC66U for S$70 off.
The free 4 months+S$70 discount covers for the AC66U with a bit left as lunch money.
Even with this, MR is still more expensive than M1.
But I suppose the hassle saved by re-contracting may be worth the extra time & money.
I did briefly but decided not to in the end. Some friends said M1's connection is even worse than MR's... and having previously been bitten by Starhub, it'll take more than a good promo to get me back with one of the big 3![]()

well its all depends though, which i believe maybe that area of ur firends staying might have a lot of M1 user?![]()

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't bashing M1, having no actual experience with them personally
I was merely feeding back what I've heard from others and based on all available info gathered over a week, decided to recontract again with MR.
I jump ship from mr to m1, I see like no difference only, some more M1 cheaper got 35% off
