No - just pay with the Amex card and the discounts will be applied.

(So supp cards can get the discounts too, but on the other hand you can't earn more points/rebates on better-earning cards)
Does the far card membership that comes with this card, comes with a Far Card physical card? Thanks

song dah. i just called AMEX, he said he happened to be the duty manager and asked me to wait patiently. He will waive 1st year for me also. :D

yes i already booked MIKUNI, EQUINOX before next month comes. Correct bo? :s13:

just the most basic platinum can already.

I booked in June for Mon 4 pax buffet lunch at Equinox but only got slot in August.

By right after new scheme no more 50% for Aug, but after checking somehow they still allow, thumbs up for them:D

as long as you have the a valid Amex Platinum charge card or credit card, it is the Palate and Far card as well.

hope this helps ;)

According to terms and condition, discount is only based on food thus they have the right to charge u service charge for the before discount amount. Marriott cafe charges that as well. No need to argue.

Thanks for the insights, will not go Marriott Cafe as heard food just so so then service charge on before discount somemore...

How is the high tea? Worth to try?:)

i would say its fairly ok. at least you will have the entire couch/sofa to yourself:s13: the space and privacy.

anyone received the new dining and hotel offers for Amex Platinum? I just got it yesterday

I walked in last night, still got lots of seat unoccupied though I was told fully booked during reservation.

It's nice, I love the grilled lobster with cream, Kaisen salad got lots of sashimi, SukiyakiKonabe's Wagyu quite soft n tasty, crab fried rice quite value for $ only 18 before discount.

We did not order Sashimi platter as we were still full after The Line lunch buffet, so we ordered Jou Sashimi @ $110 with 5 sashimi but taste so so to me, maybe I ate too much sashimi at The Line during lunch. After discount is less than 200 which is cheaper than other authentic Japanese restaurants we went, and good thing is service charge on after discount amount. I would like to question Equinox n Xin Crusine if they charge me service fee on before discount again, the $10-20 dif can buy me a very decent lunch:(

Maybe the sashimi platter u recommended is better? I may try that if I am still in town before Aug. Will probably bring more ppl there for 35% in future. Their reservation service is bad, sounds like dun wana do my biz:(

mikuni does that all the time...they like to inform walk in customers without reservations that the restaurant is "full"

i usually go over at 8+-9+pm to beat the dinner crowd (if any lol)

try the botan ebi sashimi next time, really good value for money. think its $40+ before discount for 3 pcs. can have the ebi heads deep fried or in miso soup as well.

i will probably still go to mikuni at 35% off for 2 pax
