A GPU and SSD upgrade is all you'll need...

Hmm, ya maybe I can do without the extra RAM. I am still thinking about SSD, I know they are much cheaper now so its probably worth getting.

Since I have a 1 TB HDD, if I am going to get a SSD (maybe a small one like 100 - 200gb?), do people just put the OS and maybe games they play often so as to boot up faster?

I have never got a SSD before, so sorry for the noob question haha.

It's pretty dirt cheap these days. Just get a 480GB one from just $160 and dump all your OS, games and programs down there.

Only consider getting extra RAM after adding SSD and changing GPU. Extra RAM may seem superfluous here.

In his case the lacking CPU power may be covered by adding more ram to minimise bottle neck.. but it won't help tremendously though

First time hearing adding RAM can alleviate CPU bottleneck. lol

I only know more ram will reduce the temporary memory being store into the harddisk, which is very slow when fetching data.

I unker liao, first PC bought is 386 and cost S$30 nia from Poly.

It is based on brand too.. samsung 850evo is slightly more pricey. that price would be the SanDisk ultra II if I'm not wrong
