Hi all. Noob to building PC here. I have a 1080p monitor, speaker, mouse and keyboard so all I need is the PC.

The only thing I know I need to buy are a GTX1070 (for 1080p gaming), and a SSD drive. Here's the list from Fuwell I am given: http://www.fuwell.com.sg/uploads/misc/Fuwell300716.pdf

Should I just head down tomorrow and tell them my budget and needs? I am abit scared of kana chop carrot :s22:

Thanks for your help.

Wait for the pros advice. Try go on weekdays noon better, relax walk walk see prices.
1.8k more than enough if no need high end. Consider a monitor or kb in that budget also possible.

Why fuwell? Nothing against them but any particular reason, they offered you a substantial full rig discount?

I just built a mini gaming PC recently with 1.3k budget. Bought most components using SCB card from qoo10 and lazada with GC, item, coupon and voucher discount expect MB+CPU bought at SLS.

SCB card has additional 7% after spending over $600.

Zotac GTX 1070 - 515
Silverstone Strider 550W Gold PSU - 105
Kingston 8GB DDR4 - 25
Fractal Core 500 - 78
Zotac 480 MLC NAND - 134
MSI B150 AC + 6500 - 445

Hi this is what I got from PC Themes just a week ago.

Intel i5 4460 CPU With Askrock H81M HDS Motherboard @$330
Kingston 1600Mhz 8GBx2pcs 16GB of Ram @$96
Ocz 240GB Trion 150 Series SSD @$98
Toshiba 1TB 7200Rpm Hard Disk @$64
Palit GTX 1060 6GB Super Jetstream @$445
Fsp Hexa 550w Power supply @$68
Cooler Master N300 ATX Casing @$68

This is the prices stated on the price list when I built it last week. Not sure if there are any changes, you can see it here.

For mine, the total cost was around 1130+ after discounts given by them for GPU, PSU, Case and a few stuff. Just know that some stuff the person told me not able to give discount, he already gave me as much as he could on the stuff that can discount. Not inclusive of OS. Got Win10 Home OS on Reddit for around USD$35, so is about SGD$47~ish. So probably 1.8k for just playing games like Dota and CS is definitely more than enough, maybe even overkill. So I would say it depends on what you want your PC to do as well as what games you wanna play on it.

Truth to be told, 5 years is possible if you adjust your expectations yearly, i.e. gaming at s lower quality settings. Having said that, I am not sure if the hardware will last that long in the first place. Just get what you can afford then enjoy it. ;)

So how true is the saying that you can ask for a small discount if you buy a full PC set from Fuwell?

videopro or best bargain

list your parts
get their prices
highlight some parts where u can get cheaper else where
they will match as close as possible

you save time & effort to save the few bucks...

not happy then get parts that you feel itz the cheapest but still let them build main for free
