really depends where... some atas places (eg. MTI, DOS, MFA, DSO etc) need min 2nd upper. Some (eg. PA) even 3rd class also can get in.

Every month there is open bidding for hawker/market stalls. Hawker stall rentals are highest bidder wins. $38 was the lowest food stall bid for the June allocation.

Some ulu hawker centres, you see always got a lot of empty stall. If you bid $1, maybe you can win but cannot sublet.

Wall St pares gains after Yellen comments

REUTERS - U.S. stocks pared gains after Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen said the case for raising U.S. interest rates has strengthened in recent months because of improvements in the labor market and expectations for moderate economic growth.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 16.84 points, or 0.09 percent, at 18,465.25, the S&P 500 was up 1.43 points, or 0.07 percent, at 2,173.9 and the Nasdaq Composite was up 4.11 points, or 0.08 percent, at 5,216.31.

Gold pared gains on Friday as markets digested a speech by Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen.
Spot gold was up 1.43 percent at $1,340.10 an ounce, while U.S. gold futures for December delivery were up 1.4 percent at $1,343.20.

The metal has slid for five straight days, falling on Thursday after U.S. jobless and durable-goods data beat forecasts, and Kansas City Fed President Esther George said it was time for the Fed to raise rates gradually. The spot price hit a four-week low on Thursday of $1,317.46 an ounce.
