Other than the lucky draw, everything in COMEX is identical to M1's website and/or M1 Shops.Hi guys, if I am unable to make it down to Comex, is it ok to sign online? Do I enjoy the same offer as M1 in Comex is giving?
Keen on the $39 offer.![]()

I see. Thanks!
As i've got an existing Singtel fiber+mio, I need to terminate.
Any idea how long before I can arrange m1 to come in if i were to terminate ST now?
Called up 3 Singtel CSOs and 3 gave different answers - 3 days / 7 days / 2weeks (business days)![]()
As the others have said, if using wireless only don't go for 1Gbps. From experience the only wireless device I own that can hit anywhere near 1Gbps via wifi on a Asus AC87U is my Macbook Pro which has a rather powerful wireless chip. Phones and tablets will probably get <500Mbps IIRC YMMV.
U can't utilize 1gb using wireless only. The most u get ard 300mbps for mobile device.. And also really depend on how good yr router is. If u dun have wired Lan devices dun go for 1gbps
I see. Thanks!

Mobile wifi use will be mostly whatsapp and minimal internet.
Mostly using on my iMac 2.4GHz core 2 duo.
I think you should be asking M1 side, not ST.
Switched from ST to M1 3 years ago, I can't recall exactly what was done.
This is what I vaguely recall (if I'm not wrong):
Signed up M1 first, then based on when they can start my service, they will advise you when to terminate with ST, then can coordinate so that you have as little downtime as possible.
-------------
I think what magix mentioned sounds similar to what was done. Vaguely recall the M1 CSO mentioning something about the 2nd port. So quite likely I signed up and activated M1 first, then terminate ST once it's up and running.
Others please correct me if I am wrong.
- Suggest to have M1 activate on your PORT 2 Fibre point (your fiber box has two port, Currently Singtel should be using one of them)
- Once M1 installation complete and running. You can arrange to terminate Singtel.
In case activation hit into any issue with M1 and you terminate your ST. you might ended up without internet.
If you need to retain your landline number, port over to M1 digital line, you need to unbundle the landline from your fiber, mio 1st.
Yep, passed by m1 and spoke to the staff. She asked for my postal code (and unit number iirc), then checked and said 'ok, can go ahead to apply'.
But when i asked her 'confirm ah, no conflict or whatsoever?', then she became hesitant liao.
Anyway thanks guys, probably will activate m1 then cancel Singtel.
Yep, retained already.
It's an analog line, and confirm can port to m1 so problem
if that so just get a 300mbps is fine and as for your imac maybe use a usb wifi AC adapter for you to connect wirelessly.
May I ask which conflict do u mean? Cos I'm also would ask u back the question which conflict do u mean? Even I dun understand u mean singtel side or m1 side or other stuff?
Don't think iMac of that generation has USB3 yet. Won't get AC speeds.
Hey hah, what i mean is, cuz im currently on Singtel, and if i were to apply for m1, im afraid the port will be blocked/currently utilized or something (cuz got one telco cso told me about this before, and asked me to ensure that i've cancelled my existing service before changing to a new one)

Hi guys, i would like to clarify my understanding on the limitation of my PCE-AC68.
The maximum speed that PCE-68AC can support is 1300mbps for 5G and 600mbps for 2.4G so if I top up and purchase RT-AC88U router, even though it can support up to 2167mbps for 5G and 1000mbps for 2.4G, the speed will still be limited by my pci wireless card right?
well u mean u gonna port over from singtel to m1 for port 1? if this is so u have some downtime without internet.
i still prefer what others have told u to let NLT to activate the 2nd TP port and use it for m1 and later then when m1 is up and running fine, den cancel singtel.
anyway from what he say seems abit weird though its like asking u dun use internet for some time....![]()
its like he mean that u cancel the services and go sign up for m1, and m1 check with NLT can use your port or not, and they say cant as there is issues and u have to schedule with NLT to solve your port issues b4 m1 can do another schedule with u to come down install their ont for u...by then who knows when u will be able to use your internet![]()
