How easy or difficult?
I got issues with OCBC. This is my first time forgot to pay. My SO insisted that I should hard core and don't pay.

I managed to get waiver from Stand Chart last year.

Are you referring to the late interest (calculated on % basis) or late payment fee (usually a fixed fee regardless of amount owing)?

No issue for me, CSO asked me to make immediate payment and waiver follow after that.

There have some threads regarding OCBC refusing to waive late charges/interest/card fees, even if you threatened to cancel the card. If you have tried to obtain a waiver, they should have some form of records that you have called before and the previous results/outcome of your request. Most of the time they will stick with their previous decision irregardless of whether you keep their cards or not.

Both. Got interest also.

Mainly becoz one of my card got insurance deduction and I didn't realise. $80. I just shift house and didn't got the letter.

Thanks for the insight. The rebate I got from there is far more than this late fees. Hence, I need to balance and see whether is it worth.

Is it becoz the rebates is a lot. Hence waiver is hard, hardest?

Rebate a lot? Other banks more competitive.

Ask again, till you get someone to waive the fee. Threaten to cancel the card if they don't.

they might just proceed to cancel. :s22:
this will work but be prepared to cancel first before doing so.
