Interesting..we had the exact opposite panel it seems...

I had seen my fair share of warm and cold display, so mine is definitely warm this time...
Got mine from Sony Store, Forest Blue.

What if all the displays are set to default WB?

Mine finally done after more than 12 hours. Luckily I was on leave and I just let it run. Btw, we can no longer toggle LTE on and off in the quick settings? Another thing I noticed is that the screen brightness bar sometimes will revert to the lowest setting by itself.

Yup, adaptive brightness is turned on. Did not encounter this when I was using Z2 and Z5.

See the follow up post. I had set all to default. There seem to be two different calibration available on the XZ...
PhoneArena mentioned it had a cold display while HWZ said it has a warm display as well...

Yup, adaptive brightness is turned on. Did not encounter this when I was using Z2 and Z5.

Seem to be a new thing. The brightness slider will adjust itself depending on environment...looked creepy at first...

I could have agree that the battery could have bigger capacity.

Appearance wise, the fruity phones had been rocking the same design for many years and still command high sales so this point is moot.

Same goes for screen resolution, fruity phone has FHD on 5.5' display while XZ has same resolution on 5.2' display.
They need better ideas on the pros and cons.

Rules of thumb,
Always go for sim free plan if you can fork out the full price of the phone.

Yes, sign SIM only plan is more cost effective

cos the price that telco quotes you for the phone is an inflated or retail price, after taking away the subsidy cos you pay for the monthly subscription.

secondly, you wont be tied down to purchasing a new phone every 21st month. cos phones can last more than 2 yrs. so if u dont renew ur contract after 21 months, the subscription that u pay after then will be a waste of money. or sometimes if ur phone dies and u wanna change a new phone, u cant, u need to pay a penalty to the telco.

with SIM only plan, u can change a new hp whenever u like
