Ohh bro,Sorry misinterpret your post..

Tmr taking your TP Test good luck I believe SSDC generally speaking traffic condition is fine and manageable just be alert for those jaywalkers and cyclist.

I envy you guys having multi-storey circuit don't know how does it look like is there any interesting stuff to share?

Remember safety check and blindspot..

Keep us updated??

All the best!!
Good thing about ssdc is the circuit is fully sheltered so no issue if it rains. And the multi storey ramps are quite steep so we can learn to control half clutch sometimes

Sent from somewhere using GAGT

Was waiting since 11am for your good news..

Under Mr Derek Lee guidance TP test should end 11.25-11.30am including de-brief at tester office coz he came in 10.50am to called me out.Was you surprised when you see his name tag after he called you out coz I sang high praises on him?

Later if free can post your demerit points and description awarded by him see if there any common mistake for future testee to take note..

I wasn't really focused at looking at my tester's name, but instead I thought he was really strict at first since he called my name and went straight out of the room without waiting for me to come out, compared to the other testers.

But when driving, can feel that he's really kind, telling me when I made mistakes.

Will post my checklist once I get home!

Yeah his pattern is called name then he will walked off while waiting for us to come out from the room..

Yeah he will point out our mistakes while driving however till the car has come to a full stop and provide advice to the mistakes.Like following distance and how to gauge following distance.

His face look stern and with only few words for us as testee.

MY book stamped, account closed, everything returned, license applied. Do I still need to go through the video again?

If that the case did they ask for your address coz they need to send you a chq for deposit and outstanding balance.

I believe since you have done everything can don't need to watch however if you are keen to know those traffic accidents then go back for next video session.

Do you tend to mount kerb during practical lessons ? Suggest you to book a few more lessons and ask your instructor to concentrate on circuit assuming that outside you're pretty alright at it

Congratulation bro , please be careful when navigating in multi stories carpark , some are really very cram

Thanks manchesterFC for all the pointers before my TP, appreciate it alot. and yes, will be careful :)

If that the case did they ask for your address coz they need to send you a chq for deposit and outstanding balance.

Yes they did, address asked, everything seem to be settled. i went in halfway :s13::s13:

Anyway, here are the mistakes I made:

1) VERTICAL PARKING: Fail to confirm safety (4 pts)
While doing full lock for your vertical parking, remember to check blind spot BEFORE you full lock, and not after. This was the mistake I made & he corrected me.

2) Insufficient acceleration (Free count)
This one was due to my nervousness, didn't control my clutch/acceleration well enough, ended up stalling. Can be avoided, but thankful that it's free count.

3) Fail to use appropriate gear (2 pts)
I would probably just say it's due to nervousness as well. While in circuit, stopped and moved off into directional change with second gear, tester reminded me for this.

4) Fail to check blind spot (Free count)
This was when i was in the filter lane for right turn. While changing into the filter lane, I didn't check. & it was probably due to me trying to engine brake properly, therefore incurring this mistake. So, please focus more on safety checks rather than proper braking for the future testees.

5) Fail to look out for traffic @ junction (2 x 4pts)
Honestly, no instructor actually pointed out this mistake of me before & tester actually explained to me after test and I understood what he meant. He just wanted me to look out for other traffics more even though I have the right of the way (which is going straight).

Overall, pretty lucky to pass this TP due to a kind tester. If I got a strict one, would've failed. Hopefully my pointers are useful and would help future testees.

Once again, thank you all for helping me out by giving me pointers before my TP. I deeply appreciate everyone of your help, especially CJW and manchesterFC. :) I will continue to contribute to this thread and try to help the rest of you who have yet to pass. Cheers!!!
