Many people here have copied articles from Today, wanbao, XinMin, the Straits Times, etc. Are they not copyrighted? How do mods ensure those articles reposted here have their copyright been cleared for reproduction in edmw?

And do they consent you - written or verbal , as a "content provider" as you have claimed you are - to represent them?
They are not commodities, so don't put a spin on the words of others to justify that what you post is right - cause the contexts could be off. The last we want is for this small issue made to be made a molehill just because of some different interpretation of words.

There is no intent or purpose. It's the freaking internet.

Does nobody sees the fallacy in this? The infraction was given, yet only after you guys ask what's the purpose of the pics. Is judgment passed in court before the case is heard?

And don't even bring the copyright argument in when it's totally irrelevant to the topic. But just to humor you,

Youtube is public domain. Anything uploaded is undertaken by the channel to be allowed on public domain, viewed and shared by the public. People can file a copyright complaint to youtube if another person claims a work as his or her own, or monetizes it.

In this case,

1. It's a repost
2. It's not on youtube
3. There is no copyright claim
4. There is no monetization
5. Screenshots only

Even if the girl did not upload the video, it'll be between her and the channel as a civil dispute, nothing involving edmw. Even Youtube can't do anything since it's public domain, it's not a media outlet (protected by media regulations), there is no monetization.

Just because it does not occur (yet) / or any action taken to any forumer, it does not mean that it will not occur.

Come in to support this appeal thread. It's not fair to just infracting 1 user but not the others. If want so strict, everyone should be infracted tbh.

As mentioned above, so many gpgt and kym threads are rip off from insta, fb, YouTube and many other places as well. Won't those be subjected to copyright as well as sharing without the original poster consent as well?

Don't find ts at fault too. He's sharing something that is opened for sharing. No defame, no insults. Just clean entertainment that is available on YouTube for public viewing.

Yes, and on that note, I was advising him to be aware or if he is aware of it.
This issue is not if TS's images are copyrighted or not. His pictures imo and supported by the video link he provided were suggestive - which if I was the infraction issuing moderator, would be my justification for issuing points.

We should be aware that pictures are subjected to copyright claims. So while the copyright holders are not claiming, it does not mean they will not.
