1) Nus - offered FASS(Mt related) on 08 Apr
2) Ntu - still yet to reply,1st choice econs
3) Smu - offered Econs (1st Choice) on 7 May with Interview on 29 Apr.

So,
What are the chances of me going into ntu econs? Let say if i get in, any advices on which uni to go? (Ntu econs vs smu econs) Or should i appeal for FASS in NUS?

Now I know why people abandon this thread when they receive offer haha.. I'm feeling the same way of abandoning this thread

If you think about it, there isn't really any incentive for a first-time uni applicant who got offered to remain on this thread, since they are not informed enough to help with the more general questions anyway. No one is obligated to contribute here, but if you do, it will be out of your own good will and generosity, which I'm sure people will appreciate.

Hi! I'd like to update this thread in case anyone would like to appeal into law. I have been offered NUS law with RP 88.75. I have also been offered SMU law and NTU PPGA+Econs, and I really really hope that this will allow those who still waiting for NTU HSS to get their favorable replies soon. Thanks!

Yes. Why not choose NUS FASS(MT related). You do hv to major in MT....you only need to complete 7 modules on MT. If I am not wrong.

No MT in JC because I took Higher Chinese in secondary school

Hi! Just want to ask about the NTU-NIE offer that you've received, did you get the teaching scholarship/ award? I applied too, JC Arts stream as well! After my interview I only took the personality test (and not the full psychometric test with the math-y parts), and will be down for a meet up session on 22 May!

Did your psychometric test include the pattern recognition and mathematical deduction parts, and did you attend a meet-up session of sorts? Kind of worried for my Teaching Award application :-(

Hey I'm aware that their are people who got into Mathematical Science and Maths and Econs with RP of 68.75, from the appeal chance rater, I got higher than that grade, but unfortunately a C in Maths. May I know those who got in, what are your grades for A Level H2 Math? Thanks!

Between the three I would say that they are quite similar. Choose depending on what kind of person you are. If you're the more outgoing and competitive type you can survive in SMU. If you're the introvert kind and do better in a more chill, kampong environment consider NTU. NUS FASS has the benefit of allowing you to easily switch majors if you find econs is not for you. Faculty wise all three are pretty good. NUS econs had Danny Quah for awhile but they moved him to LKYSPP so NUS econs no longer benefit from him. If you intend to go into academia, I would say ntu or nus would be better since both are better established internationally. SMU is still very relatively young. But if you're after high starting pay, SMU beats both NUS and ntu.

That's true! I'm still here though even though I received my offer relatively early in March.
