smu appeal period is open right? i have yet to hear any news from them and i cant appeal as i dont have an outcome...

SMU appeal period is quite long duration. From 2 May to 18 July 2017.

You most likely to know the outcome before 18-Jul-17

Logically rejection letters/emails should come before 28-May-17. The NTU Appeal Period (Undergrad Admission) is from 13 to 28 May 2017

It is not fair to those received rejection outcomes after the Universities Appeal Period closed.

But it has happened before, year after year? People getting thrown onto waiting lists by faculties because the number of people holding onto their offers during the first window has exceeded the admission quota, and there is no sound no shadow - until the last few days of the second window. (You can check previous year admission threads for this)

It's not a question on whether it is fair or not that such people are unable to appeal the normal way if they receive rejections past the appeal deadline, but the application system is as such. What to do? All international students are expected to receive results as late as July.

Hi my friend called up ntu and its confirmed that an appeal can only be made when u recieve the outcome as the link will only be given to u in your letter.

Ok. I think they tighten up the procedure this year which is better. No worry about to appeal or not when no outcome
And btw, sometimes you can hear different version from different people in the same admission office. Gosh.

For example, for poly applicants, the NUS DD BBA & Econs is not available at point of application in the online drop down, but are we able to freely choose & appeal for a DD in the appeal exercise?

Tbh i have no idea too HAHA. I feel that they should really reevaluate on passing the right informations to the admins so that when we call or email to ask,we get the right information.

BTW for those without any news/interview from NTU courses, do regularly check your email if there are any interview offers! They may not necessarily call to update you about the interviews. Next week should be the last batch of interviews before the 1st window of offer closes. It was stated in my friend's interview letter for English that next week will be the last batch of interviews for the course
