you can sign up an onepass account with singtel, its free and it requires u to enter the service number in concern so that they can pull out the data.

once successfully registered, log onto the portal and you will see the number of your mobile broadband appearing and a status bar of your data consumption being refreshed periodically..

just an update-
the sim card line is attached(free) to the broadband plan- hence the 500MB (mine shown 0.49G) monitoring is done here.
This plan can only be seen upon login using the internet. (My Singtel app will not show this sim card info) and it is free 24 months from the date sent to your house.

Yeah mine too as 0.49gb it's because this free sim card does not allow exceed of 500mb. So I guess it's the system calculating it this way..

Don't forget once you exceed this 500MB it could be chargeable.
:s22::s22::s22:
For example on Starhub on this free 1GB mobile data on per month usage.
The data usage is based on the billing cycle period of the Broadband &or HomeHub service that come with this free SIM card.
The usage you may have to check on as like normal mobile line number.
Any access will be charged according to postpaid mobile data plan.

Just sharing my experience with ST 'free' sim card (1 gb/mth mobile data only):

Previously I was on ST ADSL plan and was given a free 1 gb/mth mobile data sim card. I migrated to ST 300M fibre a few days ago and this plan does not provide any free mobile data.

I called 1688 and asked about it and the CSO said that going forward the mobile data sim card is billable at $19.90/mth for 2gb. Requested to cancel on the spot.

Kind of feel like a 'trap' or ST being 'sneaky' here. ST should have informed me about it when I signed up for the new plan.

Got the feeling of having the sim card equates to having nothing right? Lol

The sim card u got from recent recontract is still in the sim card holder, never popped out yet.. :D

i din even used it:s22:

As a kiasu boy, I also make an effort to call in and inform that I have a data Sim for cancellation if there is change in service plan etc.

Couldn't agree more. I was expecting ST to auto cancel the 1 gb 3G SIM since it is part of/package of my previous ADSL plan.

Lesson learnt.

Most probably the difference is between 4G and 3G.
3G for 1GB and 4G for 0.5GB
That is less crowded and more crowded.

Erm if its recontract and your free mbb is still valid, no issue of new Sim I think.. they only issue you a new Sim if your number is terminated and then you recontract..

Depend as i am still having 2 SIM cards.
When recontract to new flat, they give me a new free SIM card.
As mine is en-bloc and still staying in existing flat with broadband and existing SIM card.
When i terminated to existing broadband, they did not terminate the free SIM card.
Btw not on this Telco.

Should be StarHub... :s13:
I had their maxmobile 1mbps unlimited since 2006. They don't bill nor terminated it when I terminated my maxonline.

My white ONT (Ericsson) was faulty (front LEDs not on but back LEds flashing). I brought to +Serv to exchange for a new set (black Alcatel-Lucent). I was told that it has been configured and to connect the LAN cable to LAN4 port. I did that and could not get access to internet for both my Asus AC68 and Arcadyan routers. Called 1688 and after getting through to tech support, I was told to connect the LAN cable to LAN1 port of the ONT. Now both the routers are able to access the internet via the ONT.

Anyone encountered this before?

if you connect wrongly, you won't get any internet access because of this:

ASUS AC68U - might be working in router mode, and that means you need to connect the LAN port of ONT port 1 to WAN port of AC68U.

Arcadyan - automatically puts itself in AP mode if connected to AC68U, but automatically becomes a router when connected to ONT port 1.

I think it is more of mis-understanding on the actual Port to connect on the ONT.
As @chinkt may mis-interpreted as connect LAN Port-4 of ONT as it mentioned on using LAN cable to connect to LAN with 4 ports, but failed to indicate that only Port-1 is active.
Hence the tech support indicated to connect to Port-1 of ONT.
Router should not be an issue as it is the ONT that failed.
Connecting to Router remain the same.
The person should advice @chinkt to connect to Port-1 on the ONT, and if there is another Port-1, which may be for the telephone, it will not be able to connect as different size.

I am also using my own Asus router after recontract to the 1 gbps fibre plan. Keeping the Arcadyan Singtel router I received as a spare. The Asus router is more stable and does not disconnect as often.
