The Fatip Piccolo I've already covered in my earlier post. Horrendous alignment of the blade, but once you got it right, shaves like a champion. One of the smallest razor I've owned but nice weight to it due to the solid brass handle. In terms of aggressiveness, this razor is often mentioned in the same breath as the R41 but I think most are referring to the 2013 version of the R41. Because I have a R41 2011 and they're not even close.
!

Someone compared all version of R41 to fatip and claim R41 is more aggressive but fatip gives a closer shave. Seem like a few ppl agreed with him

i have 10 pack of 5 blades selling 1 dollars each

A few places but that's the cheapest/cheaper I find more so if you can hit free shipping.

Qshave futur clone has a large head indeed, just receive it today and tried. Set the lowest setting and still cut my upper lip. Didn't like the angle still need to be careful unlike Rockwell.

Will use it for travel as suggested due to cheap price.
Waiting for cheap feather popular, maybe can play rotation

Hi guys, newbie to this thread!

Currently using a Braun series 7 electric Shaver. But I still need to shave daily and by late afternoon will already feel some stubble.

Could I ask if switching to DE will give me a much longer lasting shave?

Not all DE build the same way, invest in a cheap fatip and test out. Or a cheap qshave futur clone.
Don't have to spend too much on soap etc.

My personal experience yes it closer last longer but you need to be careful don't DE in a rush

I recommend shaving at night when you are just starting out.
1)you can take your time at night whereas in the morning you'll be rushing
2)any nicks or cuts you get will heal faster overnight. You wouldn't want to go to work with tissue stuck on your face

DE shaving has a learning curve. From the lathering (is it too thick? Shall I add more water? How much more?), to the actual shave (which angle shall I hold my razor? How much pressure do I need? How many passes?). All these take time to learn. I would say you need to wake up at least 30 minutes earlier for beginners.

Thanks for the advice.
I guess I just wanted to feel if razors/DE will be able to prevent my stubble from growing out by evening time. Because if so. I'll most probably get a nice set so that on days where I'm out longer I'll use the razor over the electric Shaver.

DE on a SAT morning and see how long it last and do it again SUN.
If u last the way you like it, do it in MOnday nite

You don't need a perfect lather to get a BBS
Will be good have it and have a positive experience
Starting out don't have to stress over so many factors

Good tips. I realised my post earlier might seemed a bit scary to would-be-DE shavers. I agree with you, just take it slow and enjoy the process of it all. :)

After DE for a while now I shave in a hurry to get 3 pass. Aggressive razor BBS can last longer but newbie best to try out 2 or 3 pass.

Mild razor can chop chop no need 30mins, not like making espresso have to do more waiting
Really depends how much facial hair also.
