no ?

3 You can choose a contract term of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 or 35 years. Alternatively, you can choose a contract term of up to age 54, 64 or 74
(last birthday).

And which one u chose for $250/yr? To 74?

Edit: oh wait, u mentioned CI not included. Missed that.

ntuc i-term only 250/yr for 250k coverage? though it doesnt cover CI of course I think... so like paying 40$ more per mth for CI coverage?

Just ran the quote for you.
i-Term to age 74 ALB.

Even for a 18yo Male cover would cost $470.15/yr w/o CI cover.

Hi guys!

Planning to get a private term to supplement SAF GTL. Looking at 200-250k coverage CI and ECI.

I did a check on both Comparefirst as well as DIYinsurance.

Someone from DIYinsurance called me today and recommended one of Aviva's term plans to me.

https://www.aviva.com.sg/content/da...s/Aviva-My-MultiPay-Critical-Illness-Plan.pdf

I am a little confused about multipay plans though. He was telling me that unlike normal term plans which will lapse upon a claim, I can claim multiple times for this plan... Anybody else holding this can shed some light?

so I guess ~$1k annually for $500k/$250k CI coverage is a reasonable price ? for any age till 65-74 yrs old

I guess it's not hard to see what's the most cost effective plan. But to decide what plan/coverage suit you best please engage an adviser.

Dear All!

Please help me with your very kind advice!! I have not been getting much insurance coverage so far and I am 32yo with a young kid now (non smoker). I was recently introduced to AIA and is now within the free look period to get the below policies. I wanted coverage on dealth, accident, TPD and CI. REALLY appreciate if anyone can provide some kind guidance.

1) Term Plan (AIA Platinum Term) to 100yo at $4400/yr with guaranteed dealth payout of $1.2mil.

2) Triple CI at $2500/yr for $100k of early terminal illness and can claim up to 3 times. Before 75/yo if no claim can take back 75% of premium paid.

3) hospitalization plan for class a Ward at $600/yr

4) accident plan at $290/yr

Please help me as I am really not sure if these are overpriced and I have only 7 more days to freelook period! Thank you so much for any help!

AIA has most of the expensive products in the market. I won't really go to them unless necessary.

Instead of planning your finances, it is obvious that you are just blindly product buying.

see this guy.. that's why say hard to trust advisers nowadays :(

obviously someone pushed all these products to him..

for poster, I think u left out the most important part.. how much do you actually earn annually ? if u are paying more than 10-20% of your annual pay on all these policies, I think its definitely a no go and u need to cut down on it... if not it will be a strain on your finances

ur like paying over 8k per year ... that's close to 1k a month !

Needs wise, none of these plans (aggregated) should even exceed 10% of his take home pay (after CPF) if he earns at least $2.5k a month, unless he WANTS.

Anyone can share the difference between this 2 policy?

Manulife - Ready CompleteCare
Vs
Aviva - My MultiPay Ci.

In that case you should post your qn on EDMW, all the anti-agents are there especially akwl.

Only UNETHICAL agents :)

Dont be so sensitive by my posts unless you are not doing right by your clients and feeling guilty....

I agree with this. It's a general rule of thumb. And why limit yourself to plans from only one provider? Doesn't make any sense. =/

1) Do you think u are over-insured? Or do u need that much coverage?

2)100k early terminal illness necessary? What about normal CI?

3) does ur hosp plan include rider?

4) do u feel that accident plan is necessary?

5) tpd cover?

6) is the total premiums affordable for u? I mean cash only, does not include medisave

For a rough gauge comparison, my entry term life age was at 26.

I am paying slightly less than 1k per yr for 500k coverage of death and tpd, 200k for ci till 65

I am also covered till ward A but without riders. My hosp plan is paid fully out from medisave and do not need to cough out cash.
