Hi, appreciate if anyone can recommend a simple setup using m-itx case? PC will be more for home entertainment (movies, music). Or am I better off just getting a Asus vivomini PC? Budget around $700-800. Thanks.

I learnt this from singupingu. You can use this for reference. If you reuse your case or other parts, you can reduce the cost further.

CASE: Fractal Design Node 202 $129
MOBO+CPU: MSI H110i Pro AC + i5-7500 $411
RAM: Kingston Valueram DDR4 2133MHz 8GB $90
PSU: Cooler Master lite 400 $53
SSD: PNY CS1311b 256GB $135
GPU: *integrated Intel HD Graphics 630*
CD writer: Asus $21

Hi all,
I suspect my 4 year old asrock b75-dgs mb died. Am looking for a replacement PC.

Any recommendation for a budget rig of about $500 mainly for admin purposes and Internet surfing? Thanks.

Hi guys, my 5 year old comp just died on me. It will hang into a black screen after around 30 minutes of usage. Figured it should be the MB dying after not giving me any problems for 5 years.

Can anyone recommend me a good rig based on a 1.2 to 1.3kk budget? If can lesser even better. No need monitor/keyboard/mouse. Normally use my comp for watching shows, editing photos on lightroom, not a hardcore gamer but i do play games like dota, COD and NBA 2k.

Any help would be appreciated as i have totally lost touch with the latest tech stuff.

I’m looking to upgrade some parts. This is what I currently have:

ASRock H81M HDS + i3-4150 3.50GHz
Crucial 8gb 1600mhz Value Ram
Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660

I don’t play many games so I hope I could keep the same GPU.

What I do a lot of is download and upload to the cloud, do a lot of transferring of files to/from external hard drives, watching videos, and PLEX transcoding. I’m thinking of just updating the CPU, motherboard, and ram. I don’t plan on overclocking or any cooling. I’m considering AMD Ryzen R5 or R7. Would love any suggestions. Thanks.

Hi all, need help building a new pc. Budget around 2k, including a monitor if possible. Use my pc for some photoshop editing, videos, and movies. Not really a hardcore gamer, but i do like sims a lot with tons of expansion packs and custom items....i know this sounds lame. and I need it to be able to connect wifi without lan cable...

my bro did recommended the rig for me, but he doesn't really know that much and myself have no ideas how does this combination looks like, but i do hope to get something that can work smoothly for the next 4 yrs...

are these sufficient? or any other recommendation?

asus prime b250m-k
i5 7400
gtx 1050ti 4gb
wd blue 1tb
fsp hexa +80 550w
gigabyte gtx1050ti 4gb
tecware f3 case
kingston 2133hz 8gb ram

thanks!!

So I think I've settled on this:

CPU AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor
Motherboard ASRock - AB350 Pro4 ATX AM4 Motherboard

I'm just not sure about the memory, the power supply, and which vendor to purchase from.

Hi sifus...need recommendation for a Ryzen 7+gtx1080 matx build for video editing duties & gaming (playerunknown's battleground). I've been a laptop/macbook user and haven't owned a pc in over 10yrs so please recommend a build inclusive of monitor as well. Thanks in advance!

Edit: I don't intend to buy everything one shot so budget is very flexible but trying to keep under 3k.

Maybe u can stated what is your usage on this PC? And do you want to OC PC?
And what others upgrade u intend to do in the future?

Overall from your build I can see that u want a high end gaming, but for the PSU I rather u stay away from that brand as I'm not sure if the quality is it still quite bad or getting stable.

Lastly what is the total for the build you have come out with?

- Non-k i7, pair with Non-z mobo
- Mobo+cpu+gpu almost already cost around $1.5k
- Shitty PSU for me, coil whine happened for a few units

Would u consider ryzen? Usage wise purely for gaming or creativity works or a mixture? What monitor are u using? Refresh rate and resolution of monitor? What type of games u playing?
