anyone experienced this recently? happened to me yesterday. my friend picked me up for lunch and after that we went back to his office for a short discussion.

after the meeting at almost 5pm, i left the building and walked to the main road to catch a cab. first 2 taxis i flagged wound down their windows and ask 'go where?' the first one was quite rude - just drove off without saying a word. second taxi said sorry changing shift, not on the way...

i know taxi drivers are all making an honest living but is this still allowed? i know this bad practise has been going on for umpteen years but remember reading articles about this in ST sometime back, may be 2 or 3 years ago? looks like nothing has been done by the authorities and these taxi companies... :(

inb4 why never use uber/grab app? I'm using a loan phone cos my phone is in the hp shop for repairs... :(

agreed. the number of bad apples has been on the rise...

in my case, which may not be statistically accurate but 2 out of 3, thats 66 bad apples out of every 100. :(

Still the same old bad sheep giving a bad name to an already dying business.

i guess consumers are left to suffer when yhe relevant authorities and taxi coys arent doing much to iron out these chronic issues.. :(

Once they stop, you just board, don't wait for them to ask.

Once in the car, they cannot ask you get off. They'll have to LL send you.

If you don't want drivers to choose, take Uber.
