When i first bought the monitor i has trouble operating it too but somehow after a few restarts it worked. As for now i have tried for 3 hrs. The cpu is running fine as all fans are working my keyboard and mouse and monitor has power but no signal. Computer is booted up as i can use both caps lock and num lock keys.

Did you plug your HDMI cable to GPU instead of the onboard graphics? Assuming you have a GPU.

You need to plug the HDMI or whatever display cable you using to the GPU. Plugging to the Motherboard back IO won't work for some(if not most) of the Intel mobo.

The correct HDMI port, comes from the GPU.

I used to be able to use it by plugging to the motherboard hdmi port

Try put back HDMI cable to gpu.

Try change another HDMI cable

If fails, take out gpu from rig and try from motherboard hdmi port

Have you tried using another display? Maybe try plugging into a TV? Try to use all the HDMI ports.

Some displays need to select correct input... will not auto detect. Make sure it is selected at HDMI.

I have a feeling it is not auto detecting. Problem is ny display asus monitor is not showing antthing. I cant change anything either. It only allows me to ower on and off and shows no signal. As for my cpu, i can only plug it to the hdmi port near the on board graphics. As for my gpu i dont know why it has 4 hdmi slots but i have never used them because my cable cant seem to be plugged in due to a block by the cpu casing. Fixing error i guess.

Try connect to your LCD TV and see if the image appear.. just to test if the monitor or the motherboard hdmi port has issue.

Since you reinstalled your CMOS battery, your BIOS will reset to use your GPU instead of onboard graphics.

Go open your CPU casing, remove the screw and knock away the metal plate that is blocking your GPU HDMI ports (should be easily done).
If still cannot, remove your GPU from your system if you not going to use it.
