When I booked the car... S cost $82999 (3 bids Non Guaranteed) Elegance cost $99,988 (also non Guaranteed COE).

But finance wise, KM offered 1.98% significantly lower than BM. Agent at KM also gave me first yr free insurance. 😁

Did u manage to secure ur COE?

Wa.... free insurance? That is nice!

My insurance quote was $2.1k (NTUC with no excess). First time owner... :s22:

Workshop ofcourse expensive specially KIA as if CC. There is a agent specialized selling orginal spare part at Racecourse road.

Agree. That's why I didn't want the 40k servicing and asked for a discount instead. My regular workshop at AMK auto point would not ketok me. In fact, they were the ones who spotted my altis shock oil leak and ask me to bring to BM to have it changed before 3 yrs warranty ran out. The 2nd time I changed the shocks... That was last yr... Also oil leak... My workshop quoted me 20% cheaper than BM. 😅

Yup, I got the coe for the last bid. Honestly, didn't quite expect it. But I won't complain about it. 😬

NTUC is one of the more expensive insurer. My agent said my insurance, 50% NCD cost $910. Perhaps its due to your experience... I have 22 yrs experience. 😁 anyway, I had bad experience with NTUC and will never insure with them again.

Car just registered today. So should collect by Saturday.
Hmm? Why register so early? It should be registered 1 day before collection.

Register today, you lost 3 days of COE - Wed, Thurs, Friday. Did they compensate you for this?

I see. Thanks for info. See didn't tell me Saturday. She said before this weekend. But I'm keeping my expectations low so that I won't be disappointed.

Yup I know about the unnecessary depreciation. I was nice. I told SE that cannot take more than a week. ;)

I hope you squeezed something out of him, he probably has some numbers or incentive to hit so he did that...

I read that quite a number of elantra owners have their car registered much earlier than their actual collection date.

For my case. I was able to collect the next day after registered. By the way I am not driving elantra but Another H brand)

The lesser the local accessories that need to be install the shorter the wait.

Still no reason to register the car so many days before collection.

AD can move the car around without needing to register and do installation.

Just wait, even you get the car, you do not necessary use it everyday but there is no way for you to get road tax rebate for those day you do not use the car anyway.

I rather wait and making sure pre-delivery team do a good job before hand over car to you.
