Hey guys, I just placed a deposit for Elantra s yesterday. Looking forward to this awesome car. Any tips on what to buy for the car would be good.

Depends on your personality and what makes you feel good. If having pple look at your car makes you feel good... Buy stuff for the body to make it look good so that it's a head Turner.

For me... I'm pragmatic... I spend most of the time in the car don't quite care if others look at my car. So I buy things for the interior to make myself really comfortable and enjoy the ride. So sound system, leather wheel, air freshener, etc is important. I wouldn't upgrade the wheels as I enjoy the cushioning that 15" gives me.

Engine wise, the stock car meets my expectations. Accelerate fast enough not to be tailgated from the traffic light. So I won't bother is k&n filters and other performance enhancing stuff for this car.

Stay cool for 6 months... if you can survive the mod fever that typically afflicts a new car buyer, then see what mods do you really want to do. Save the $$.
Sometimes the amount that you put in can be enough to get a better car..

Hitting the 1000km mark soon!
My experience so far....

FC = 15.2km/L
I must say, based on what I had read online, I was not expecting it to be this good. For context, about 75% is spent on highways.

Overall Driving = 7.5/10
In my opinion, and my passengers, it's really comfy with the stock 15". Maybe in a few years time, if the itch gets stronger, I'll get larger ones with a BBK. The ride is quiet and air-con, really cold! I find that pretty awesome for hot days. Lastly, Apple carplay is seriously my favourite feature of all. Works great with the apple watch and seamlessly with the controls and apps regularly used such as Spotify, Whatsapp, and Maps.

Accessories.
For whatever reason, Komoco does not sell it's own accessories that you find on it's US or international websites. So I resorted to Lazada and found a few items to try.

Anti-slip mat. The dashboard is a little too smooth and minimalist. Need it to park my phone after plugging into carplay.

Steering wheel cover. Just an excuse for better grip.
https://www.lazada.sg/products/mode...eering-wheel-cover-i128683712-s146801076.html

Car storage box. To maximise the space and usage of in boot at the upper corners.

Car pillow support for driver seat. Another excuse. lol.
https://www.lazada.sg/products/can-...ur-seasons-general-i128684123-s146803523.html

Upcoming Plans.
Will be sending in my car for it's first polishing. May it turn out kilat and stay that way for the rest of the year. Wishful thinking. haha.

How u get ur 15.2km/l? Manual calculation? Total mileage divide by total litre of petrol
Or average per trip?

I didn't do any calculation.

I just kept track of the FC number on the screen in the car at the end of my trips. This 15.2 is the average of all those numbers I got.

Should be quite accurate. His is new car, this year model. So it has AMS installed. This improve the FC quite a bit.

Can't really compare with others cos everyone drive different timing, route, pattern and habits.
You should compare with your previous car cos that's the right way to compare. The driving pattern, timing and route should be the same for you whether your new car or old car.
If your old car,you can get 13km/l,now you get 11km/l for new car, then the new car is not so fc efficient and vice versa. And of cos I m talking about same cc car.
And don't so particular about fc.Just enjoy driving your new car.Cheers!
