Hi guys

I service my aircon regularly. Before the last servicing last week. Still working fine. After servicing for 2 days. One of the unit unable to blow cold air. But 2 days later the aircon is working. Ask the guy to check again. He said no issues with the checks that he had done. Suddenly few days later. Which is today. The same unit not blowing cold air again. Any idea what is wrong? Or any good repair company to recommend?

Thanks.

Is your aircon a non inverter? If it is it might be due to compressor overload/overheat trip. The unit that is not cold is linked to this compressor. Does this happen when you use your aircon for extended hours or when the weather is especially hot? Once the compressor overheat the unit will not blow cold air and after it has cooled down the unit resumes operation as per normal and the cycle repeats. This could also be why your current contractor is unable to detect the fault when they are there as the compressor could have already cooled down and running

Otherwise if inverter, check if there are any blinking lights when the unit is not cold. If there is record the blinking and show them to your contractor. If not, try running the unit on a lower temperature setting and higher fanspeed for a longer period of time. If the unit becomes cold then possibilities include unit is aging and sensing element is not so accurate or unit is dirty. Else if still not cold definitely something is faulty and you will need either your current contractor to come back for another follow up or a 2nd opinion.

No reviews yet but best is to check if they dismantle down the blower to wash during general service. But not all model able to dismantle

Your drainage pipe is probably clogged up with "jelly". You can try to clear it yourself, or pay for the aircon man.

Just like to share my experience on Season Master cleaning experience.
service done on Early December due to 1 unit leaking, another for maintenance only.

very kind to slot us in for an appointment since another client has backed out.

but they don't have sufficient tools i guess, just brush and small hose (manual sucking the aircon tube)

no vacuum vacuum, just brush brush the fan, very fast they finish, already, then recommend chemical cleaning $180. just chemical cleaned November 2015.

after cleaning, leaking solved.

but just over a month leaking comes back, called them back, says normal cleaning no warranty... I should have contact my previous aircon service, atleast got guarantee for 6 months...

fyi only.

contact 96xx5987 - Hock Jun
94xx8993 - Hock Wang

with this, can anyone recommend a good aircon service, thanks =)

anyone can recommend? I am looking to service one unit only. If it's good, then I service the rest. I don't want to waste my money.

I just did this chemical wash (******* expensive few months ago), and my aircon is worst than ever. I set at 18 degrees and it takes hours to be cold.

Hi,

My air conditioner showing an error code of U4. What should I do?

Is yours a Daikin aircon?
If it is a Daikin and showing U4 error code, chances are there is either a wiring fault or pcb fault. You will need to get your aircon contractor to come down for a check to determine the actual cause.

Not cold enough does not always mean that you need to chemically wash your aircon. In fact chemical procedures should be done only if general servicing cannot regain the cooling of your unit.

First thing to try would be to remove the filters for washing if you have not done so. If it is still not cold enough then you would most probably need someone to come up to do a check or cleaning.

Your appointed aircon contractor will advice on the best procedure on site after assessing the condition of the aircon.
