Ya I also confused. I also never heard of chemical wash compressor till this latest servicing. My air con is four years old and I service every six months.

Guess they mean they take out the whole compressor to clean inside ? Got such thing ? I also wait for rain to clean the compressor by spraying on it but I don't think this will reach the inside to clean the fans ? At most the outside grill ?

clean the outside grill should do the job... :s13::s13:

Hi all

I was recently charged $40 per unit for servicing plus $50 for transport. The total servicing bill for my Mitsubishi system 4 came to $210. I also noted that the blower coils were not touched during the servicing which lasted 45 minutes. Neither was the compressor.

Would appreciate any advice if my servicing cost was reasonable or not.

Thanks:)

I tried aircon guru for regular cleaning (not much option - i am renting the place so i must get a servicer to do the job) .. the guy they sent over is not bad, gave me some general advice and chat a little bit.
what i like most - no hardsell and no recommend this or that. just do the job and leave.
of course if you think need to do some hardcore cleaning then you probably need some good advice.

seriously dude, i think you got 'chopped' as what the locals would say.
some googling online would tell you that normal servicing (as what you have described) for 4 units will be about half of what you have paid..
but it's ok. we learn from our lessons :)

this aircon servicing reqm in SG is quite a pain in the neck. Countries where I have been, this isnt a reqm. if you spoil upon returning the unit, you better get it fixed...

sounds like most of what the others will do, just described differently.
And they always use a vacuum to suck the dust out in regular cleaning. how you think they will do the job?

Checking of water leakage
Clearing of evaporating coil

From YongHe

Check deodorising and purifying filter
Clean & check indoor evaporator coil
Clean & check indoor drainage tray (Wall mount fancoil)
Vacuuming of drainage pan (Ceiling mount fancoil)
Vacuuming of drainage system
Brush & check outdoor condenser coil

Just like to share my experience on Season Master cleaning experience.
service done on Early December due to 1 unit leaking, another for maintenance only.

very kind to slot us in for an appointment since another client has backed out.

but they don't have sufficient tools i guess, just brush and small hose (manual sucking the aircon tube)

no vacuum vacuum, just brush brush the fan, very fast they finish, already, then recommend chemical cleaning $180. just chemical cleaned November 2015.

after cleaning, leaking solved.

but just over a month leaking comes back, called them back, says normal cleaning no warranty... I should have contact my previous aircon service, atleast got guarantee for 6 months...

fyi only.

contact 96xx5987 - Hock Jun
94xx8993 - Hock Wang

with this, can anyone recommend a good aircon service, thanks =)

no mention this:-
do they dismantle down drain pan for cleaning?
do they wipe or brush the indoor blower?
fan motor no need check and no need put any lubricant.. if noisy must replace new motor? :s8::s8:
tightening of electrical contacts... sure boh????:eek:
