Need to replace my old TV, the sales kept on pushing 4k tv. But I only use TV to watch mediacorp channel, and YouTube for kids. Is 4K necessary? Is mediacorp already having 4k souce?

Sent from OnePlus 5T using GAGT

Don't need 4K, but take note some high end 2k TV can be as expensive as 4k.

Using NewMedia Solutions's set top box and indoor antenna, was given free from IMDA. Received all SG (local) DVB-T2 TV channels, Malaysia DVB-T2 TV channels, and Malaysia 4 DAB Channels. Tested during heavy rain, getting excellence Signal Intensity and Signal Quality for all Malaysia DVB-T2 TV channels .
Here the link of the video: (system is not allow me to insert direct link)
at youtube, look for "Received SG (local) and Malaysia Digital TV channels, using NewMedia Solutions DVB-T2 set top box."

Enjoy!!!!

You are wrong. My house has a lot of interference, event the mobile network can't work well inside my house. You need to do more work on the antenna. Don't expect that the IDMA will give you free solid antenna, and the antenna cable is not RG6 material.
