I guess you only have 24 hours at your hand.
It is very hard for a career woman to manage her career and family well together if she do not have a supportive hubby.
She still have to do more as compared to a hubby in a family for a traditional chinese family.

For CK case, her thinking was focused on having a good career will allow her to neglect the daily communication with her hubby.
She assume that all that she is done for the family is appreciated by CTW.
That is the inaccurate assumption for all hubby and wife.

She is still at the angry and denial state of knowing the hubby let her down.
And she have not clear her thoughts about what is the next step and she is hit by the news of the mistress being pregnant.
From the last few episodes, there is already repeated mention that she is doing every thing for the family.
So, keeping the family united is very important to her.
That is before CTM decided to divorce her.
It is at the moment she know that all further actions to save the marriage will be futile and the baby cannot wait.

I do not know how a woman think since I am not one.
But, I can guess along the line of thought for the scriptwriters.
They are still very shallow in writing about the characters for all the drama.
Only wawa score in creating personality in their character for their drama.
