After about 1 day of usage, here's how I feel about the phone:
1. RAM Management on MIUI 9 is not as good as I wanted it to be on, esp on a 6GB phone. Just normal apps closing down after some time, no games at all. Always had 2-3gb ram not utilized. I think MIUI 10 / MIUI EU will fix this. Or else I wait until LineageOS
2. Loving the IR Blaster, now dont need to take the aircon remote from the other side of the room :s13::s13:
3. Notifications with the app logo quite nice, its a change from the normal android noti
4. Full screen gestures are intuitive but the recent button feels much slower with full screen gestures. Found myself swiping up on my older phone.

I think I will be switching to the MIUI EU rom sooner than expected, just because I want my apps to not reload so often. That was the main reason why I waited so long to buy the 6gb version one.

So those who want the 6/128GB for the RAM, dont get your hopes too high unless you flash to MIUI 10 / MIUI EU, which has better ram management.

Checked with xiaomi store rep at suntec.. 64gb model 399.. 128gb won't be coming to sg.. blue won't be coming to sg..

Global rom in sg is 9.6.6...

Looks like the fake rom is indeed a fake rom. Stuck at 9.6.4 OEDMIFD with no update to 9.6.6.

Global rom is 9.6.7?

Looking at the plug. It is an authentic global rom set, either from Hong Kong or Taiwan. :)

9.6.7.0 could be the latest update.

Those with fake rom 9.6.4.0 will never have the OTA update to higher version.

That Notch is just too huge in a small display.

Our Mi Max 3 is still the best. No Notch and with a huge 6.9" full 18:9 display. :)

buy from shopee or lazada, can bring to the local service centre at central ?

It must be stated as "1 year Xiaomi Singapore warranty set" then can.

Some sellers are selling the official global rom sets from Taiwan or Hong Kong which will not be recognized or covered under Xiaomi Singapore warranty.

Therefore, be very careful.

That's why I either get from official mi stores or reputable places like redwhite, mobilesquare etc.

Guys.. i got my set yesterday afternoon at Mi Bedok Mall, $399, 4/64GB variant. Weird cause there's no announcements on their FB. Used my CapitalMall Vouchers to offset, that's why waiting for local Mi shops to sell. Those interested can go have a look there.

Indeed... :)

Mine is also under official Xiaomi warranty but far away in Shenzhen.... Haha.
Actually if bought export set from seller here, no official 发票from xiaomi, I don't think even xiaomi china will honor the warranty.

Wow! Nice buy, bro. :)

Actually, at $399 for an official local warranty set. It is not that expensive already considering the RRP in China is about $320 during the eerily launch period.

Don't forget the the rental of a shop in Bedok Mall can rent 10 shops in China.... Lol..

Not sure about the local sellers export sets.

Mine is direct from China, an authorized Xiaomi disrubutor online shop with receipt. It is confirmed honored by Xiaomi China if ever needed service in that respect. :)
