going there in first week of December... i have a fee questions:

1) how is the weather? gonna be stormy, rainy?

2) Planning to visit some temples. any recommendation for trusted guides?
More important, are there any monkeys?

3) The dolphin tour. Worth it?

1) It's the wet season. Won't have thunderstorms, but just scattered rain. Good for surfing, irritating if travelling on the road.

2) Well.. there are many temples since Bali is predominantly Hindu. There are small temples in the Monkey Forests, as well as small monkeys in Temples. Hope that helps.

3) Sorry never heard of it. Must be a tourist thing. [/QUOTE]

So far book from Klook no problem for other country. Normally will get their dongle bundle for abroad.

I frequent Bali so StarHub Happy PrePaid SIM works perfectly for me. It’s about $5 for 1 GB and serves me for 3 days.

I get connected the moment I walked near the immigration.

With the internet connectivity, grab or go-jek can be ordered (but read through the thread about how to get the transport without putting the driver’s life at risk)

If you referring to the lovina dolphin tour, i went before and saw a lot of dolphins. The trip is expensive because the distance to the beach is very far and involve the driver to drive as early as 3am. We managed to reach before 6am where the beach is still very dark...

We witnessed the sun rise while riding on the traditional boat.. very calm sea.. not like the other water sport area... where i had sea motion sickness..

The boat driver will actually communicate with each other drivers to tell them once they spotted dolphins.. and will send us to that area of the sea... once you are in the correct area... u will be able to see quite a lot of dolphins.. some might even swim near your boat if you are able to spot them...

You can consider Four Season Resort at Sayan. The view is very unbeatable. Check it out YouTube

400 can get you some family villas with good views.

What kinda view would your group prefer? Valley? Rice fields? Sea View?

highly recommend Massimo Italian Restaurant (towards southern end of Sanur) for a meal

value for money, affordable & good food

4 of us, everyone ordered mains, drinks, gelato & coffee. We were stuffed. Total cost was around SGD 60 !

Sanur beach is facing East so if u r staying near the beach, it's nice to walk to the beach to watch the sunrise

There is also a popular night market "Sindhu Night Market" at the northern end of Sanur. Definitely rorth a visit to grab some cheap eats ... starts from 5-6pm til around 9pm (or when food sell out).

I agree the Sanur is one of the underrated places in Bali.

The beach is really nice. Bars and eateries are very near the sea line.

Head north a bit from Pantai Sanur you will find Warung Made Weti. The queue system can be really weird, but the food is really good. Warning: food is sold out by late morning.

Few more roads north you can find Warung Mak Beng. Very wholesome fish soup. Perfect after a dive or surfing session.

Check out Food Ranger's Youtube vid on Bali. He covered these 2 places.

any good value accommodations around north Sanur that you would recommend ?

budget SGD 40-50 a nite for 2 ? With Breakfast, AirCon, Hot Shower + Pool.

I usually stay south side.

I always stay in ubud so not too familiar with Sanur accom. Sorry.

But the amenities you mention can be found in min 3 star hotel or resort. Just avoid standalone villas as they don’t serve breakfast
