Kyoto solo and prefer scenery is a no brainer. Almost All the sights are outside the city and very scenic. And these are well worn paths too - prob can just read Anyhosaysay’s Kyoto thread from last year.

Questions!

1. What would be the temperature like in Osaka and Kyoto during the last week of November? I referred to the online forecasts and its about 14-18degrees in the day?

2. I will be traveling with a 14 month toddler. Hope to hear baby-specific tips from anyone!

:)

1. This one can google

2. For Kyoto, wear those baby bjorn carrier type and if you need to take a break, you can go to shopping malls that offers free stroller rental. Isetan and Takashimaya should have. Bring plenty of diapers also.

Edited my info after doing some initial research.

My father would like to visit the Taisekiji temple near Mt Fuji. As such, i would have to make another day trip to Kawaguchiko, sacrificing Yokohama. I will also have to buy the Fuji Hakone pass (3 days). This can be bought early in my trip so as to reserve seats for the Chuo bus?

These are the research that i had found, do correct or recommend me if im wrong.

Day 6:

Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko Station via Chuo Highway Bus (1.5 hrs)
Collect rental car for 1 day near Kawaguchiko Station
Drive to Temple (1+1 hr back and fro)
Drive to other attractions in Kawaguchiko
Check in at Kawaguchiko Hotel

Day 7:

Wake up early to return car
Kawaguchiko to Yamanakako (35 mins via Fujikyu bus)
Yamanakako to Gotemba (40 mins via Fujikyu bus)
Gotemba to Sengoku (25 mins via Odakyu highway bus)
Sengoku to Togendai (20 mins via Hakone bus)
From here, we will start the hakone experience on the top half of circle, clockwise towards Hakone Yumoto

Day 8:
After breakfast, check out from Hotel and head to Moto-Hakone for shrine and torii gate.
Get onto the pirate ship towards Togendai and then to Hakonemochi just for the experience and hope to see Mt Fuji (20+25 mins).
Get onto a bus to Mishima Skywalk from Hakonemochi (20 mins)
Get onto a bus from Mishima Skywalk to Hakonemochi then back to Hakone yumoto
Purchase romancecar tix back to Shinjuku directly.

Travelling soon to Osaka... some doubts I would like some advises...
I would like to go for day tour in Kyoto from Namba station.

1) Should I use Sub train from Namba to Umeda ... then take JR Kyoto Line direct to Kyoto station ?
2) In between Umeda to JR Kyoto line, do I need to come out of station or change by walking to the platform ?

If anyone have good simple route will be best....

Plan to visit:
Kiyomizu-dera
Fushimi Inari-taisha
any good recommendation.. :s22:

1) Please take Osaka Metro train on midosuji line from namba Station to Umeda Station. Exit out of Umeda station to JR osaka Station within Umeda area. Take JR train that bring you you to Kyoto station within 30 mins.

2)kiyomizu-dera?please take a bus outside kyoto station

3)fushimi-inari? take another train that ply on JR Nara line at kyoto Station to inari Station

Appreciated.
Thanks for your good information,
Have noted it down.

JR train can use ICOCA card or need to purchase separately ?

Todaji Temple, Nara deer park is also one of spot I intend to go,,, can use Kintetsu Nara line from Namba station to visit this 2 places or JR is better ?

ICOCA card works fine for all stations.

Please use Kintetsu train service because it is closer to these two places (i.e. less walking distance from Kintetsu Nara station as compared to JR Nara Station)
