you need to contact apple customer service like i did, their engineering team will investigate this.. this is to confirm that they have issue with personal hotspot on secondary simcard slot.. i hope they fix this in iOS 12.1

Hello

Thanks for the reply. I saw an FAQ from StarHub.

http://www.starhub.com/personal/support/services-and-plans/mobile-roaming/prepaid-roaming.html#happy-roam

Under FAQ17, it says need to change APN to shppd.

I’m now in US. Using StarHub happy roam. Both AT&T and t mobile allows personal hotspot. My current APN is shwap though. Should have check this when I’m in HK.

If both of your sim cards have active data plan, you will able to enable personal hotspot on the secondary SIM card. Try to take off your primary SIM card and see what happen

Finally bought the iPhone XS Max 256GB last Monday while in HK. Back to the apple camp after my last iPhone 5. Great phone to use.

Hi, you can get it in transit area, but the price is actually higher than RRP by almost $1000HK.
Also I think they are not under Apple recognised group of resellers.

Thanks a lot for the info. It doesn’t really worth it then. Any other ideas how I can get one ?

Yup, I am done with Apple warranty check and saw that eligible to purchase AppleCare+ then following the step to iOS Diagnostics to your phone after completed then go though by payment.
Make sure after purchase try to call in for verification your phone with Apple customer services to add on your full details of AppleCare+

I see thank you guys. So there won't be any warranty support if I don't get the applecare for the phone, am I right to say that?
